I've never really been good with the self love stuff. I've never really been a woman who put on makeup or sexy clothes just for the fun of it. Until tonight that is.

Keira Metz said to Geralt once, "women only ever beautify themselves for their own satisfaction" which is a mentality I've tried to have in the past to no avail. But yesterday, I bought myself lingerie for the first time, and today I got my hair done, dyed it purple and blue and I got home, and I was playing with my hair and listening to music, and I looked in the mirror and I felt kind of...pretty.

Then I made a decision to put in the lingerie

And I felt gorgeous

Then I decided to put on some makeup

(Mind you its 10pm and I wont be leaving the house again today)

And I felt...hot. I felt sexy. I did it for myself, for my enjoyment. And I felt good. I loved myself in that moment. And I took like 100 selfies and looked sexy and attractive and smiled and laughed in a way I never have before. And I truly did it for myself and no one else. It felt amazing. I didnt realize how important self love is until tonight

Merry (late) Christmas!!

Unfortunately, drama between my bf and my parents caused us not to be able to spend much time together outside of work for about a month. But he is so patient and understanding, all my worries of him not being willing to stay with me during this have proven to be irrational. Yesterday we FINALLY got to spend some time together, and finally got to exchange Christmas gifts

Of course one of his from me is still in the mail AND I'M PISSED BECAUSE ITS SO CRINGY AND CUTE

But look at this boy... he got me the Yen statue that I wanted so bad but never even told him about... his sister got me that awesome keychain...

And then the cutest thing ever... he got us matching bracelets (his is black) that say that he'll never leave me and he'll love me always. I almost cried when I read it.

And then he said his bracelet is never coming off his wrist and it was one of those internal "dontcrydontcrydontcry" moments

Well... I am a huff through and through... And i tried to do this with my bf after asking if he'd ever seen these posts (he had not)

So i looked at him and said, "hey babe, i bet i can fit the whole world in my hands!"

He looks at me, grins this adorable derpy grin, and then wraps his arms around me and hugs me close and said something along the lines of, "I'm holding the whole world in MY hands"

All i could do was grin and laugh at that dork. My boyfriend, the obvious hufflepuff 😂💛🖤💛🖤

The Best Type of Boyfriend

I've had bad luck in relationships. Betrayal, abuse, cheating, blatant objectification... As well as being abused as a child. I have PTSD and a fractured mental state, and i was in a place where i believed that my fate was to be with men who who treat me not like a person, but a toy for their own amusement.

In walks my boyfriend, the love of my life, my best friend in the world.

The moment he learned of the past i have had, he vowed to make me understand what real love is, and make me feel loved and respected every day. At first, i was apprehensive...i've heard those words time and time again, only to be let down and heart broken. But he held himself to a standard of keeping that promise. He accommodates my fears, keeps me feeling secure, makes me feel respected. I don't feel like i have to fight for his attention, he wants to give me all of it. Every night, we go to sleep on the phone, he wakes me when I have nightmares and whimper in my sleep. When i want to watch a disney movie but we can't watch it together in person, we press play at the same time and watch it while sitting on the phone. I sing and he's content, sitting quietly and listening happily. When he's playing a game online with his friends, and i tell him once he's done (and not to rush) i want to watch a movie and/or get ready for bed, he wraps it up within a half hour and says his friends'll live, because i'm his girlfriend and i take priority.

Find yourself someone who treats you like this. Not just sometimes, not most of the time, but always. Every moment, every second. Someone who is committed to you and wants that commitment forever. Someone who promises they'll never leave you

I got my Game Informer for the month, the only magazine this nerd will subscribe to, and as you can see the cover story was for a Marvel game (Specifically Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3) and i asked my mom if she could name even 5 of the superheroes on the cover. Not a hard task, considering Spiderman, Grook, Hulk, Wolverine, venom, and Deadpool are pretty easy and recognizable faces to even non-nerds. Her responses were:

Geralt could scarcely believe how his life had turned out after they defeated the Hunt.

Ciri was home more often than not, usually spending her days lounging with Yen in the garden and tending to the greenhouse, or she was sparring with him in the field to keep them both ready and in shape. They had done several contracts together, taking out Bruxa and Alps, Giant Centipedes and Panthers, and even the occasional Wight would make it’s way close enough to garner a contract.

They made monthly trips back to Kaer Morhen, spending a few days at the keep fixing it up and rebuilding the ruined walls. She had built a small garden in the place where they had burned Vesemir, sticking a set of swords in the center of the plot in both his memory and honor. He had held her close as she cried for her mentor and grandfather figure.

When they returned to Corvo Bianco, Yen worried over them incessantly, stating that she would come with if they wanted her to, but both declined, stating that they needed to be the ones to fix the keep in Vesemir’s stead.

And Yen… How close they had gotten since settling down. How calm she was without the nag of politics gripping her back as she tried to move forward. Now that she had detached herself completely, she was far more relaxed, and even more intimate when they were alone for the evening. Ah yes, he had spent many mornings unable to move, and she as well, simply because they had spent all of their energy the night before. And they had to fix the unicorn on more than one occasion as well.

But retirement was treating her well. She was able to work with Ciri and teach her better control of her powers, she had spent as much time as she wanted reading her novels and pouring over old tomes she hadn’t been able to read before, and she had a thriving alchemical garden growing in the greenhouse she tended to.

He glanced down at her sleeping form, nestled up against his side with her back pressed to his chest, and smiled. His life couldn’t be any more complete than it was in this moment. His little girl was sleeping soundly upstairs, and his dear love was curled up beside him in bed. He placed a kiss to her shoulder, earning a soft, content sigh from her.

Yes… Life was good.

Supernatual, you have an episode for everything.

So, last Tuesday, me and my boyfriend broke up. It was so incredibly painful, especially given HOW we broke up. I always thought of him, first and foremost, as a friend, but he seemed to stop caring about my completely. With the help of some rl and online friends, I got put of the self pity hole pretty quickly, and started feeling better. But...yesterday was Tuesday. And i was upset all over again. So I decided to watch Supernatural. But not just and episode, i went with S3, E11: Mystery Spot. The Tuesday episode. And instead of getting sad Dean kept dying (as o usually do) I pretended Dean was the ex. It was highly cathartic, and since there was a happy ending i don't feel any guilt. Thank you, lovely Spn, for everything. I am sad to see you go next year 💔

I'm going through a really hard break up. This guy has been a big part of my life for 5 years and last night it all ended. "While We're Young" by Marianas Trench is basically my anthem right now, and I noticed there were no edits with these lyrics! What?! So I decided to put on my creative hat, and wipe away my tears for a minute to make this.

Everyone in the comments is going with shows, games, books, etc. that they personally don't like. I find that to be ridiculous. This isn't a "list off the name of something you hate therefore the title sucks" this is a "what title sucks, regardless of how you feel about it" for example, Breaking Bad is a term used to illustrate going from a pious person with good morals to criminal acts. It makes sense. You not liking the show does not make the title bad. For me, the title of my favourite book come to mind; "The Giver" that's a terrible title for a fantastic book. Or how about "Horizon Zero Dawn"? A fantastic game with a rich world and a shitty shitty name. Had they even added "project" to the beginning of the game, it would have been a much better title. So stop using things you personally hate and think about titles that are actually just stupid regardless of how you feel about it. Okay, all done ranting, please continue scrolling ☺

So I drew this nearly two years ago. I and more of a Yenna fan, personally (she is canon in the books, so...) But this moment at the Vegelbud's party is just...so...CUTE! sadly, I made myself really mad when i messed up the colouration of Triss' sleeve, so Geralt's doublet will remain uncoloured. He hates them anyway, so who cares?
