sequel to this one night stand/fake dating au

Sasuke drops Sakura’s hand as they reach the front door to his parents’ house. The two of them come here almost every other Sunday now, for those brunches his parents love inviting Sakura to. It’s become quite the regular affair ever since his family met the pink-haired girl and simultaneously fell in love with her five months ago. Sasuke frowns as he fishes out the set of keys he has been fingering in his pocket for the past few minutes because he can’t seem to find the one he’s looking for.

His girlfriend−real girlfriend, as of three months ago−just looks down at him curiously as he squats down before one of his mother’s many potted plants by the doorstep. He lifts one and finds the key right under it. He’s about to get up again when something shiny catches his attention.

He shifts in his position so that he is facing her, his arms hanging off his knees. “Where’d you get that?” he asks, eyeing the band of swirling ribbons of precious metal that formed diamond-encrusted leaves that wrapped around the fourth finger of her right hand.

Sakura’s face immediately lights up. She turns her palm to him, spreading her fingers apart so she could admire the small piece of jewelry. “I got it from Ino,” she explains. “I was helping her pack up for her trip and I found it on her dresser. She said I could have it. Isn’t it pretty?”

“Let me see that.” He grabs her hand and pulls it closer to his face. They’re both silent as he inspects it with scrutinizing eyes but she looks at him expectantly. “Looks expensive−”

The door opens and Itachi is faced with this scene: Sasuke, not quite on his knees, holding his girlfriend’s hand and Sakura beaming down at the sparkling ring on her finger. The older Uchiha blinks once, twice, then he’s pulled Sasuke to his feet and has engulfed the couple in a tight embrace.

Before either of them could speak, he has pushed them into the front door and has announced their presence. “Mom! Dad!” he calls as he goes further into the house. He’s probably headed to the back patio where they always have their brunches because his voice already sounds distant to Sakura’s ears when she hears him say, “Sasuke just proposed to Sakura!”

They both freeze. She has half a mind to internally berate her boyfriend for rummaging through his mother’s plants for a spare key instead of just ringing the doorbell.

“Well,” he says, sighing tiredly. “We already faked dating, we can fake an engagement, too.”

“Or,” she shoots him a look, “we could talk like proper adults and clear up the misunderstanding like normal people.”

“Or you could just be my fiancée for real and marry me.”

She almost chokes. “Did you just… It’s only been three months.”

“Five,” he insists, almost snappily. The relationship might have been fake but Sasuke was quick to realize that, shortly after meeting her and getting to know her−all her wit and wisdom, her kindness and her remarkable strength, her talents and even her annoying quirks−his feelings were not.

The shocked expression on her face quickly turns into a quirked eyebrow, a teasing smirk, and a knowing glow to her green eyes; a look he’s grown all too familiar with. “Buy me a ring first then ask again.”

“I’ll do you one better and get you a necklace so it doesn’t get in the way, Ms. Future Chief of Surgery.”

She hums pleasantly and loops her arm around his, her hand trailing down the length of his arm to slip her fingers in the spaces between his. She smiles as he squeezes her hand before they walk in his family’s direction. She props her chin on his shoulder as she whispers in his ear, “Play your cards right and it might as well be Future Mrs. Uchiha.”

(Eng Sub) A Love So Beautiful Ep. 1

Can I start out with the fact that this is one of the best romance dramas that I’ve seen so far. 

To begin with, (according to the Wikipedia) “It starts off with high school classmates Chen Xiaoxi and Jiang Chen who are also neighbors since kindergarten. Chen Xiaoxi, a cheerful girl who doesn't study much, is expressive about her admiration towards Jiang Chen, the popular guy known for his looks and high grades. Jiang Chen is also a guy who is very distant and indifferent towards people because of his father’s early death. Together, Jiang Chen and Chen Xiaoxi prepare for their Gao Kao, a university Entry Examination during their senior years in secondary school. Together with their classmates—the funny yet dirty-minded Lu Yang, athletic but blunt Lin Jingxiao, and cool national swimmer Wu Bo Song, they embark on high school life to university until their adult life.”

(Basically, the previous paragraph is a synopsis of the story.)

(Actual) Review: 

This story gave me a ton of feels, that I didn’t know would happen, especially when the protagonists enter university. And, as we all know it, becoming an adult, means that our time with each other will decrease due to reasons like work and college, and this, unfortunately, happens to the main characters. To be honest, I started bawling my eyes out for the main characters when they were having a rough time and didn’t know to communicate with each other. This lead to me being frustrated and having complicated thoughts about how the story would end. But, in the end, the story has a good ending which I’m satisfied with. 

Overall, I give this drama a 10 out of 10.
