Not sure if you want the detailed answer but im giving it anyway. 😊

The crocheting was quite easy. A lot of work, but not technically difficult. Making the design was harder to do to be honest.

I crocheted all images (the squares) separately because otherwise, the pattern is really hard to follow. Plus its more adhd friendly this way 😁So I had one overall design with the entire blanket in it, which at first were empty squares and a solid border. Then I copied one square into a new design page and drew what I wanted in it, and then copied it back into the overall design to see how it looked with the rest. The text was the hardest, to make it fit exactly as I wanted. Then, every time I started crocheting a square, I only used the document containing the design for that one square.

The crocheting itself was done with the extended single crochet stitch (except for thinner yarns where I extended it with drawing up an extra loop every stitch or every other stitch). For some parts, I only used bobbins, but for other parts, I crocheted the colors I wasn't using but needed further in the row along. It all depended on how much I needed to use a color and how often the colors needed to change because I don't like dragging colors along for long distances. The border was only done with crocheting the other color along so i could work faster.

When all squares were finished, I added 1 black row of esc around each of them and then used the mattress stitch to sew them together.

Then the rainbow border, done in esc as well. This one i worked around.

The border (text) was all done in horizontal rows because the squares were also done in horizontal rows, and this way, it would fit better.

I did the bottom part of the border first, working side to side. Then continued one side without breaking the yarn. After that I joined at the bottom part again to do the other side and continued the top part without breaking yarn.

To attach the border, i used the mattress stitch again.

At the end, I added a round of esc to make the edges look a bit more neat.

Whaaaaaa! I finished this blanket last week but haven't gotten around to posting it yet! But wow.. I cannot explain how happy I am with the end result! I haven't measured it so I cannot give you specifics but it is wider than I am tall, which is 1m62, and definitely taller. (In the pic it looks narrower than it actually is) I made the design in StitchFiddle and it is 261x214 stitches (55.854 stitches) but I added an extra row all around the blanket in black so that is uhm... 56.804 stitches or something.. I think? My calculator says it is :')

The stitch I used the most was the extended single crochet, because I wanted each little 'pixel' to be visible but that means the stitches are slightly wider than they are tall. As you can tell I did not block it so it's a bit wobbly, oops, but to be honest I was too lazy for it and it's going to be on my bed anyway so it's fine :D
