The images were devastating and unequivocally condemning of both the USA and Israel, but I remember the editors would reject all my picks and demand images of burnt cars or vague images of destruction.

So I brought a hard drive and collected everything they didn't publish.

It was my first live glimpse of the lack of ethics or integrity in most US media.

Not the journalists on the ground, but of the senior editors making the calls - in their self important glass cubicles.

And no, to the cynics out there..it's not all too complicated to discuss on social media.

Social media is the only reason we know what's happening in Palestine.

And the only reason mainstream news has to keep up and sprinkle some actual news now and then.

Meanwhile we are seeing much less footage coming out of Gaza - Israel has been killing off all the journalists.

its actually, genuinely, sickeningly insane that there are people who support Israel. I have friends and family that have looked me dead in the eyes and mentioned supporting Israel like they were talking about the weather. I thought it was common practice to be against war? i thought it was ingrained into our minds to stand for peace? i thought it was agreed upon that genocide is evil?

Boycotting is not a trend. “Not everyone has to boycott!” I don’t think I’ve ever seen more lazier people than this generation. You are a genuine weak human being, you have no self control, self respect or basic human emotions.

You have the option to go to McDonalds and you have the option to drink Starbucks. You have the option to go outside and be with your friends, you have the option to spend time with your family, you have the option to eat, to sleep, to drink, to live. PALESTINIANS DONT.

I think it's actually super suspicious that on the last day of the strike for Palestine there are only 8 trending tags right now and not 10.

When you click on the tags they tell you how many posts were tagged with each tag that day. Some of these tags don't have that: but of the ones that do, the only one above 200 posts is #art which is no. 1.

Why is this suspicious?

Well:

Just these two alone have more than tags 2-8.

All of the Palestinian Genocide related tags- even #israel, had more than 200 posts when I checked. Also worth noting the banner for #art is a peice of artwork about Gaza/Palestine.

And yeah, Tumblr's a peice of shit that barely works sometimes, but this feels like anything but a coincidence and leaves a horrible taste in my mouth.
