I know I said I wouldn’t wanna do inversions this week but when I woke up this morning I just knew I had to do a quick headstand to get out of my head. See when I do my asana practice I feel like for at least this amount of time I am completely in the moment and I can escape the chaos around me. This is my save escape. This is what holds me together really 💜 I wasn’t doing a full body vinyasa flow today more of a fun playing around with postures after all yoga should be fun right? Short outtake of today’s practice. Yesterday I only did a bit of yin & taught a class since I was up all night from Wednesday to Thursday morning suffering from the most epic lower stomach pain 🖖🏿 welcome back endometriosis! I can only speculate why it started again. I was doing so well over the last couple of moths. So I kind of denied that I was feeling unwell & did an awesome 2 hrs vinyasa flow this morning. It was only right after that I realized my body is just over exhausted. I should have better rested today. This is something I sometimes still struggle with though. Sometimes I push myself too hard (private life as well as professional life). What I’m trying to say is that it’s really important listening to your body and its needs. If I had listened more to my body today I would be lying half asleep on my couch right now while everyone else is out and about. That way though I’ve made myself some space to finish reading my new book (“the highly sensitive person“). #vinyassaflow #selfcare #endometriosis #endowarrior (at Reutlingen)

You know what they say, “Fall 7 times, stand up 8“ only think it’s been more like 70 times. Not trying to make fun of myself tho, just saying that everything in life just takes its time. Some might learn faster how to do a headstand, some don’t. I’m more of the naturally bendy person, you name it I’ll do it. But head stands they’re another story. It took me forever to come even close. Maybe because they stretched the fascia in my lower stomach when I had the c-section earlier this year or maybe I was just lacking of self-confidence being too afraid to fall, or maybe a mix of both? I def was terrified to headstand (also called head stands my nemisis pose). What most none-yogi people do not know is that there’s also a certain diet some yogis tend to stick to. According to yoga philosophy yogis should not eat meat since we do not want to harm any other living being. Above all though you should take proper care of yourself FIRST #selfcare #selflove This means, if you cannot „survive“ without meat it is OK to have it every once in a while but gradually try cutting it out of your diet. Personally I’m OK with my avo toast 🥑 for dinner tonight. It’s so simple and easy but so so yumm 😍 #avotoast
