Botanical Gardens Berkeley, CA —- Took my Canadian cousins to Berkeley and visited the botanical gardens. I could spend all day there simply exploring. Would love to go there with my future uusband. Ate at Platanos Ethiopian food, got Ici’s ice cream and Philz coffee. After they left I reunited with Nathan and jazzy. Then Ark house reunited with John Knox, Megan, Joseph, Kevin. I love just being at the ark house. Maybe it’s the people, maybe it’s just the presence of God dwelling there. It’s probably both. Then 9:20 swing dancing. then sleepover at Megan’s. thankful for Berkeley and all the people. Then lunch with Cory, Kevin, and Joann. It was supposed to be just me and Joann, but I still love Cory and Kev. It’s a constant stream of hearty conversations and laughter with these guys.
Why am I writing all this? Because it officially marks the end of my first college years at Cal. Incredible. Absolutely incredible what The Lord has done for me and through me this year. I got to spend my last day in cal with the people ive come to treasure and love and doing the things i love (eating, exploring nature, and swing dancing). Ill be on the move for two months out of touch, out of country. That will be a whole new experience but for now it’s time to set this past year in memories of stone and say this was a blessed, fine ass year to be living. So much joy.

Took a little north side detour after the swingcore meeting today. North side is beautiful and you never know what places you’ll find. This week is dead week, the prep week before finals, and it has been stressful. But I’ve never felt closer to God, and to the peace and joy he brings.

Berkeley Rose Garden ~~~ Spent Saturday trecking the beautiful Northside neighborhood and Codornices Park. Wonderful weather, stone slides, swinging (and the boy who asked if I had any kids, hiking, exploring, ultimate frisbee, daisies, possum skulls, deer, creeks, film cameras, and roses. Good conversations and company with Cory, Kevin, and Daniel. Then to top the day off Ark Church and a poppin' swing dance performance. Serving up perfectly timed pancakes!

Peet's Coffee is my abusive boyfriend. Tummy aches and bathroom runs guaranteed to ensue, yet I love vanilla matcha green tea lattes. Gotta break up this relationship. Starbucks where art thou?

Some immature, crazy got caught filming people in the shower… …so they’re installing new doors that go up to the ceiling and let in like one square inch of light. Showa in the dark, yo.
