There is an entity in the game called "Ghost". He's capable of giving survivors special abilities or weapons, so why wouldn't he do the same with the killers?

There were skirmishes between them, where the killer called 007n7 Dad, but 007n7 It took me a long time to realize that it was true c00lkid. They had an attempt to talk privately during the round, and there was no one else on the map, dut the child does not take what he is doing seriously, for him it is just a game. His brain is not yet able to comprehend the full range of terror and harm that he causes.

Thoughts on Gi-hun in SG Fanfics

I have noticed that Gi-hun is often portrayed as helpless, submissive, naive, fatalistically optimistic, and a cluster of other "negative" traits in many Inhun fanfics. A few people have commented on my own way of writing Gi-hun because I deviate from that.

To me, it's obvious to write Gi-hun like how he's written in the actual show, Squid Game. The whole show revolves around him and his willfulness.

I have always viewed Gi-hun as flawed, but wily, resourceful, and magnetic in his emotionality. Hwang Dong-hyuk has said that he based on the character on himself. I can relate, as a writer, with pouring your soul into your protagonist. That means showing all the parts of you that you despise AND love about yourself. Those parts of you that you're proud of, but maybe don't want to admit that you're actually proud of. And also those parts you're really, really ashamed about.

There's a push-and-pull within Gi-hun at all times -- just like everyone else. Stealing his mother's card to bet money to try and get something better for Ga-yeong's birthday. The desire to kill Sang-woo that last night to protect Sae-byeok. Abandoning the plane to go see his daughter because he couldn't be a father to her, knowing other people's daughters would die in the games. A push to be selfish in order to be selfless. And that inner conflict is strength that manifests itself so beautifully in Lee Jung Jae's acting.

I can't help but write him wholly, totally, and in all his bright-eyed optimism of being a gambler and in the darkness of his trauma and guilt and shame of being a gambler, too. I enjoy stories that do the same -- most of all the one wherein he was conceived, of course.
