Floundering Oblivion

As the art director for my talented friend and director, Austin Prario, on his film Floundering Oblivion, I had the chance to explore darker themes and tones in my production design — an opportunity that led to an unforgettable experience on set.

Interstellar Reptilian Elite 8000

Not many can say they worked on a comedy-conspiracy film about reptilian aliens. But I’m so glad I can. As production designer, I had an amazing time putting together the look of this film for my cool friend and director, Ben White. I had an especially fun time gutting and completely redecorating a basement (a.k.a., the bro-space) à la the wacky characters.

Summon the Truth

Back in the spring of 2017, I had the wonderful pleasure of working alongside my best friend, Madison Calicchia, on her experimental film Summon the Truth. As her production designer, I collaborated with Easton (who signed on as the art director) to help bring Madison’s vision to life.

Hand-selected textures and colors were the centerpiece of this film, and I had a lot of fun putting them together.

HBO’s Music of Strangers at Grand Central Terminal

With HBO’s release of the new documentary on Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, we helped to create a unique, visual, and auditory experience for visitors and commuters traveling through New York City’s Grand Central Terminal. As curious passers-by stood by each instrument on the LED floor, a new sound joined the music. If all five were activated simultaneously, an exclusive clip from the documentary would be unlocked!

As a production intern, my duties included aiding in the production of this activation day-of, gathering and editing together clips from the documentary, and assisting in the development of creative materials.

MCDONALD’S B-BOY ROYALE 4 [2 / 2]

In 2017, I had the great privilege of producing McDonald’s B-Boy Royale 4. The event runs annually as a charity fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Tri-State Area. Filling in over 500 seats, audience members came to cheer on global, award-winning breaking crews, all while raising thousands of dollars for the charity.

As a producer, my responsibilities included the following:

–managing budget –finding and coordinating vendors to create stage production, including for custom set, lighting, apparel, and signage –acquiring talent to judge (e.g., Richard Crazy Legs Colón), host (e.g., Laura Stylez of Hot97), and perform in the event –managing talent both administratively and on-stage during production –designing production schedule, set and lighting, and run-of-show –assisting in all media coverage and correspondence
