i really like how you incorporate some of the sillier pokemon concepts and inorganic details in your art. i feel like a lot of realistic pokemon artists stick to them all being believable animals, its fun to see someone keep them a little weird and fantastical.

yaaay thank you!!! ^_^ i really like to keep a lot of the weirdness and uniqueness of pokemon while making them organic and semi-realistic! nothing wrong with going for a more realistic, animal-like approach, but i prefer the middle ground. this gives me a lot of freedom in interpreting their designs. i haven't had the chance to draw that many legendaries yet, but i'm looking forward to it--after all they're in-universe immortal deities, and some are implied to have their appearance affected by how they're imagined by their contemporaries and researchers (like the paradox pokemon for example). so that should be fun!

i know i havent finished the current batch yet (working on it though!) but i need to take on a few more commissions on top, as i have more expenses ahead of me related to gaia's health. its likely she's going to have another surgery, but by then i hope to get everything done

OKAY HI IM BACK. im really really sorry about the unexpected hiatus. i will send everyone still in the queue proper updates and finished commissions by friday ^_^ in the meantime im opening two commission slots, which i will be doing over the weekend, so if youre interested in that, feel free to send me a dm.

ive also got some sketches for next pokedex entries (finally! geeze... im so sorry meditite) that i cant wait to finish and show you!

once again, i apologize for the absence. i know it mustve been a little concerning to basically see me disappear all of a sudden but long story short i once again had to deal with health issues AND i got a job which covers my bills at least but was really really hectic for the first month and a half--they kept going back and forth on what exactly i was supposed to be doing and for a while there i had been bombarded with work that, in its sheer amount AND difficulty AND credentials required, went faaaaar beyond my pay level LOL. plus a lot of unhelpful feedback and poor communication overall on top. so that was really really stressful. so i got completely overwhelmed mentally and needed to take a break from... everything, pretty much. but thats been sorted out now, so: here i am!

Your Zekrom banner is making me so stupidly happy they were my first ever favorite pokemon when I was like seven and seeing that beautiful lizard so lovingly renditioned even if it's just a headshot is everything in this moment

:) yay! i love zekrom! i find that of the two dragons it's usually reshiram that people attempt to draw from a more animal-like approach; understandably, since zekrom has this slightly mecha appearance, but i just think its oviraptor beak and ambiguous wings translate really well to a sort of avian + european dragon + microraptor (but make it anything but micro) vibe.
