Rick Riordan constantly trashing the movies for not sticking to his books then releasing a show in which he rewrites everything and loses the spirit of the books entirely
#it’s rly all abt the vibes for me#and they were NOT THERE#the humor was forced and nonexistent it just felt like any other action series#plus there was no suspense or tension#bc the trio went into everything already knowing everything#and yes it’s faster but way more boring#plus some of the changes added LITERALLY nothing#the asphodel scene with annabeth was unnecessary#and since she didn’t say what she had regrets abt it added nothing

Fourth Wing Theory (contains Fourth Wing spoilers):
The detail about the marked one is very random, adds nothing (as of right now), and doesn’t fit in with anything else happening in the scene. That line is automatically followed by diologue that continues the scene. So why would Rebecca Yarros add it in? Shifting around is often associated with nervousness, so the rebels obviously know something about the previously shared information.
I think that either the rebels have been in the Vale, and it is somehow important to their cause, or Tairn being on the side of the rebels is very common knowledge among them. Or it could just be another bit of foreshadowing that Brennan didn’t really die, since Tairn’s previous rider supposedly died trying to save Brennan. But no matter what it actually foreshadows, I am pretty sure the information Professor Kaori gave is going to be proven wrong or important to the rebellion in the future.

i love the implication that annabeth just gets approached and asked for autographs often by fans - dryads, naiads, satyrs, other demigods. she has her own little fan club and resident member percy jackson didn't even know about it but was like "yeah that makes sense" when he found out.

It’s really interesting to me how the first time we are introduced to Matthias, he is fighting the wolves. Like, he’s being fighting these beings that are so sacred to him, he takes the time to say a prayer over them, and we are reminded several times of his reluctance to do so. But he still does it. This both shows his devotion to his religion, which is a major character thing, and make us expect Matthias to be nicer than he is when we first officially meet him, in his pov (where he tries to kill Nina), while sneakily being like, he’s not the perfect druskelle he used to be, because not only did he aid a Grisha, he killed wolves. Killing the wolves is where he really reaches his breaking point, and his arc in the books is about acceptance of Nina and getting over his religious trauma and building himself back up from the boy fighting the wolves in Hellgate, the fallen druskelle who betrayed everything he once stood for. Idk, I just think Leigh was really smart for showing his lowest moment first, so we could focus on Matthias’s growth and have hope that he and Nina could work out.
#and then it’s even more brutal when he dies#bc he had just made it fully back up from his lowest point#and fully gone through all his growth and was ready to be happy with Nina#and then it was taken away#i will never be over that ending 😭#six of crows#crooked kingdom#grishaverse#matthias helvar#nina zenik#six of crows spoilers#six of crows reread

So Percy was the subject of a nationwide manhunt when he was 11. Like national coverage and everything. Imagine that when amnesiac Percy ended up at Camp Jupiter some campers were like “wait you’re Percy Jackson? I remember when you blew up the St Louis Arch and got into a gunfight on the beach!” Like imagine the chaos that would ensue. Octavian would probably try to burn him at the stake or something and poor Percy would just be standing there with his mind breaking.
#just. like.#bro was literally on national television for a bunch of chaotic stuff#I just feel like the ramifications that could have had should not be overlooked#like when he disappears for a year during heroes of Olympus#imagine his classmates thought he was kidnapped again#someone should write a fanfic of this#pjo#pjo headcanon#percy jackson#heroes of olympus#trials of apollo#the lightning thief#rick riordan#riordanverse#toa#son of neptune#the lost hero
