Just finished Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo and it was amazing! Everything from the plot, the setting, and the characters (especially the characters). I can only hope Crooked Kingdom gives me the closure I need! Also what are your thoughts on the Shadow and Bone tv series?

What are some of your favorite fairy tale retellings?

I can't get enough of myth and fairy tale retellings. They are amazing. I just finished Lore by Alexandra Bracken and love how it's a modern retelling (because we can't have enough), but felt something was missing and I dont know what it was. But I really liked it nevertheless.

I featured two older books that are retellings that are super close to the original myths AND they're super good. I definitely recommend these: Beauty and the Beast by Robin Mckinley and Zel by Donna Jo Napoli.

What’s one thing you look for in a story?

I love a detailed setting more than anything (well besides amazing characters). The Bridge Kingdom series by Danielle L. Jensen provides that and more! If you have a chance to read this series, do it. It’s amazing!

I love series! But only if done right! Looking at my bookshelf, I don’t think I have a lot of standalone novels.😅
