2Nite - Somewhere hidden in Cologne's Underground... It's time again for the infamous LSB TV COLOGNE edition. 6h of live electronics hammered out by a bunch of Synthesizer-interested madmen & women - And we have legendary Harald Grosskopf (Remember Synthesist from 1980?) in our house!

We are a crazy phalanx of 16(!) musicians tonight, so I decided to step back a bit: I'm going to play a miniature Detroit Electrofunk-orientated lveset on a CHUWI 4-core tablet. "Detroity" as in "automated car-fabric killed everyone else" - Or read it as: "Chinese technology will take over your life and eat your soul anyway"... New Liveset A/V video is on!

Cologne’s underground techno-scene is defined by strong protagonists like the people from SECTOR. Some time earlier they invited me to hammer out a pure techno-liveset at their special-event LOCAL DISTRICT Nr. 28. So I climbed into my studio-HQ for a full week and prepared some 30+ minutes of deep techno liveset to be accompanied live by Vika Gurtovaj with some gritty visuals. The whole liveset was especially developed for Kavaro, his crew and his guests to fit the concept of the party. What came out is between the lines of deep techno, industrial neo acid (no 303 was harmed in the process) with some brutalism sidenotes. Everything went really well regarding the recording of my beloved Yamaha RS7000 and our set-up of 5 cams with 2 operators worked also fantastically! Ok, so here’s the FULL HD proof of that flamboyant night in the Artheater's basement. Enjoy!

A new mixtape is up: Bob Humid’s Slick Shift

A flyspecked selection of Electro, Future Breaks, Drum'n'Bass, Trip Hop and IDM-tunes, garnished with Sci-Fi signatures, served in form of a Mixtape with subtle edits and slight transitions.  I found the original recording back on a golden BASF-CD-R, so the tracks presented here should be from times around 1996-2001. When I made this mixtape back in 2001 I was especially looking for a timeless and futuristic vibe. Illustration by the amazing Syd Mead.
