the divine beauty of a woman is no match

for i’ve tasted heaven in her shallow breath

for each fleeting moment is no better spent

the length of her hair entwined in my fingers

the crook of her neck fit so rightly beneath my chin

though our love is concealed by fate and misery

each moment with her, there is no better grace

i may be doomed to eternal waste

but choosing this love is my choice to make

for the love i receive is no match to a man’s
