“The Host enjoys a nice thunderstorm. The air feels different and hums with a sort of power that he finds calming when in conjunction his own strange aura. The sound of thunder also makes it easier to snap out of his visions if he must.”

“Autumn tends to appeal to The Host. He’ll often narrate the colors changing so that he can “watch” it. It also helps that no one tries to stop him during his narration-based wanderings due to the blood on his face like they usually do. People tend to think of it as a costume during the month of October, rather than something that is potentially hazardous.”

“The Host supposes that if he had to choose, The Renaissance would be his choice. That being said, every age has a plethora of points of interest, even this one.”

The Host takes a moment to collect his thoughts before answering. “The Host has many things about himself that he has trouble explaining. His visions, narrations, and the very fact that he’s alive despite bleeding constantly are just the tip of a particularly large iceberg.” He sighs. “However, if The Host had to choose just one thing that he has no idea how to even begin explaining, it would be the fact that no matter the timeline or sequence of events, he always ends up with someone caring about him. Even The Host has a hard time wrapping his mind around that.”

There is a decently long pause before The Host answers, as though he’s trying to figure out how to word his response. “The Host sees all manner of things within his visions. From the mundane, to the gruesome, and even the intimate.” He chuckles, pausing for a moment. “Any event of significance to his timeline or those he knows personally, The Host either has seen or will see once it approaches becoming relevant.”

Another pause. “The visions also tend to come in different forms. Some are crystal clear, as though it’s happening to The Host in that moment. Those visions cannot be changed regardless of whether the Host tries to intervene or not. But others are slightly hazy. Dreamlike, almost.” He smirks. “Visions of that sort are much less stubborn and much more common.”

“That is not a simple question, is it, young one?” He begins thoughtfully. “The rules the Host follows may seem rather vague to those other than him, but if he had to choose one, it would be ‘Remember, but never Repeat.’” He chuckles, a bit of sadness in it. “Mistakes and Past experiences that are less than pleasant to remember are often those that the most can be learned from.”

There is a slight pause before he responds. “The Host has not truly thought about it in a while. Once apon a time he could have told you “ink” in a heartbeat, but now that brings mixed feelings.”

He sighs to himself, but the sound still carries across the airwaves. “Perhaps leather. The Author never took the time to bind his books. Always scrawling in whatever notebooks he could reach when inspiration struck. So handbound, organized writings bring The Host a sense of satisfaction.”

“The Host understands a bit of what the listener is going through. His narrations and mind never stop going. He tends to get lost in his visions or narrations for long periods of time before inevitably passing out. He does not recommend following his example.”

There is a slight pause before he speaks up again.

“Though on rare nights when his mind decides to be quieter The Host will listen to soft classical music until he falls asleep.”
