Hey! I'm back with something a little different, a Haikyuu fanart! I know this isn’t the usual me rambling about DBD, but I figured I might use this account for my art too

Anyway, I hope to make something soon featuring my favorite gay ghost, Edwin, but for now, I’ve got Kageyama! He’s one of my all time favorite characters, and I relate to him a lot, so here I am

By the way, this is only my second time trying digital art, so there are definitely a lot of things to improve, but overall, I’m pretty satisfied with it! I also posted it on my Insta (blue_cr0w) in case you want to follow me there too.

I need an episode (or a fanfic, I'm not picky) of Good Omens where, for some reason, Crowley crosses paths with Edwin.

They bond over their sassy personalities, their "unrequited" love for their respective angels, and their mutual hatred for Hell.

Edwin could appreciate a demon if it's Crowley, and Crowley would probably teach Edwin some clever ways to fuck with Hell

And it will be extra fun if mothman will try to do his moves on Edwin, just adding to Edwin's collection of 'male subjects not entirely humans or animals that try to get into his Edwardian pants" or how Edwin probably knows them "Not Charles"

It honestly blows my mind when someone calls Charles a straight boy. Like, did we even watch the same show?? Have you actually seen Charles onscreen for any amount of time at all? He’s sitting on top of furniture, a single dangly earring, and pants that cut off above the ankle to show off his socks. If that wasn’t enough, this boy looks up all the references Edwin makes so he can understand him, and then compares his crush to him because them having the same qualities is why he likes her. He starts acting like a jealous housewife as soon as another boy gets close to Edwin and threatens to punch the cat king the second he thinks he tried making unwanted advances on him. He compares himself and Edwin to Orpheus and Eurydice, one of the most romantic tragedies of all time (which he thought was ONLY romantic) then tells him they have the rest of forever to figure out what their relationship means to the both of them. Not even 2 minutes after they were told that they were safe from the afterlife and allowed to stay together, he starts overtly flirting with Edwin, leaning into him and joking about his charming smile when he already knows just how charmed Edwin is.

If after all that you still think this punkfuck 80’s boy is 100% straight then I’m so sorry but one of us is delusional here and it’s certainly not me

Okay here I go again rambling about DBD, but when we get season 2 (and I'm going to assume we're going to win this because I love this show too much to not have hope) I really need to know more about Edwin when he was alive, because, with Charles we know a little bit, I mean, we know that Charles is sweet and he's afraid of being a bad guy because his father did horrible things to him, we know that he had friends, that they were not very good people and that they did not hesitate to hit him, humiliate him and laugh at his suffering just because he defended someone else.

But with Edwin, we only have one comment that his father wouldn't like Charles and Crystal, which considering the times in which they lived is not very surprising, aand I was reading about how family units worked in 1900, which obviously said that racism, sexism and homophobia were quite common, but I think the most interesting thing I read is that they usually sought to have a male child in the family to continue the legacy, so I wonder if Edwin was being educated for that role or if he had brothers.

I also read that parents disciplined children, especially when they had "sexual deviations" as it was said at the time, so I wonder if Edwin experienced something similar to Charles and simply normalized it, or if he went to a boys' school to modify his "inappropriate behavior" too. We know that the school the boys went to was not exactly good, so who knows what other things they experienced with their tutors. Because, I can understand that you don't like your parents or that you don't have a strong connection with them , but Edwin's relationship with his parents or his family in general, was the only one that wasn't mentioned at all in the show.

And I think it's a little curious, because Niko, Charles and Crystal, all of them have a conflict to resolve with their parents and complicated and contradictory feelings which they cling to, in some way, but with Edwin it seems that he only have his brief time at school, hell and then Charles. And don't get me wrong, I love that he has someone in Charles who loves him unconditionally and would do anything for him, and I adore that he's found a family in the girls, but at the same time, I think the idea that no one ever cried for him in life makes me incredibly sad, especially considering what a sweet soul he is.

Anyway, here's my rant, Netflix please give us season 2 or I'll send Esther to get you.

I'm gonna say something that probably sounds dumb but when Niko first showed up and had all these little pink things spinning around his head after seeing Crystal, I thought she had some kind of magical illness where his romantic attraction to someone manifested in that way (? I don't know, the symptoms she had and how they manifested reminded me a lot of what crushes look like in cartoons.

So for most of the episode I just thought she was in love with Crystal, and not in a life or death situation.

And of course after everything was resolved I had to ship them together, because they are the prettiest girlfriends.

Listen I think some people do need to hear this

Edwin isn't upset that Crystal is there because he has a stick up his ass or dislikes here personally. He reasonably perceives the girl who's carrying a demon from Hell around with them as a threat to his physical safety

When he tells Charles "what she's been through!? I spent over seventy years in Hell," he's NOT trying to make it a competition. He's very reasonably upset that his best friend is not thinking about his immediate physical safety in favour of helping some girl he met 2 days ago

Also like, Hell is unthinkably and unspeakably horrible in a way that Charles definitely is not comprehending at this point in the story

Charles's position is valid, like, Crystal is a teenage amnesiac with 0 resources to get back on her feet. Edwin is strong and smart and Charles obviously has perfect faith in him to care for himself, and he probably isn't even THINKING in terms of the demon being one of Hell's finest. But like, I don't think Edwin's being an ass or is wrong to be upset about it, either

And then all of this gets WORSE when Charles possesses Esther to save Crystal, knowing that doing so could alert the afterlife to their location. Because Charles isn't thinking of Edwin, and Edwin is the one who has the most to lose if they're caught, and honestly I really think that's a valid thing to be upset about????
