thinking about how both edwin and charles refer to edwin getting sent to hell as a technicality or a clerical error and like. it's not. that's not what happened. edwin was sacrificed. hell had a mechanism for accepting innocent souls. edwin ending up in hell wasn't a loophole or a mistake someone made along the way. it was a system that was working exactly the way it was intended.

and thinking about the idea of hell and the idea of forgiveness and the idea that you only stay in hell if you feel like you belong there. and how edwin says that he was never meant to be in hell to begin with but still building up a case for himself to prove it because him not deserving hell might not be immediately obvious

thinking about how edwin died because of a hate crime, how he died being made to feel that there is something fundamentally wrong with him and getting sent to hell right after. and thinking about how edwin saying "if you punish yourself, everywhere becomes hell" and over a century of repression and supressing the parts of himself that got him killed, that got him sent to hell in the first place. and thinking about how when the night nurse looked at edwin's file, it didn't know if he belonged in hell or somewhere else either because edwin didn't know because edwin knows that he never did anything to deserve hell but he didn't get sent to hell because of anything he did but because of what he is and maybe there's a difference and maybe he believes that he never did anything wrong but maybe some part of him believes that he, personally, is wrong

and thinking about forgiveness and salvation and how people actually get out of hell, and how edwin forgave simon because they were two queer kids in the same shitty situation both in life and in death and it didn't matter how simon hurt edwin because he still needed to understand that being gay was not a punishment, and thinking about simon getting out of hell right after

and thinking about edwin confessing his love for charles on the steps of hell and getting to leave right after and how hell is something you make for yourself and how edwin escaped the first time but he never forgave himself for what he is and not something hecdid maybe hell still had a hold on him after all those years and it wasn't until he let himself be honest about it and be gay and love boys and allowed himself to actively choose to be the person he is and deciding that that person is someone who is allowed to feel and love and that that kind of love was not a punishment and thinking about how edwin escaped hell by not just allowing himself to love but leaving behind all the ways he was punishing himself for it

What Kpop bands would the DBD characters listen to according to my opinion (It's just an opinion, you can disagree):

Okaay here is the third part:

First of all, Monty, I'm going to go with the obvious suggestion which is Astro (? the theme of their songs as well as the aesthetics of the group and their videos are very him. Also I think he would listen to Enhypen with its slightly darker concept. Also he would listen to several girl groups, although his favorite would be Blackpink (? he probably like Twice and Itzy too.

And for the King Cat old school groups like Superjunior Hee-chul is definitely his bias , also probably BigBang and Girls Generation. He would listen to miniskirt and Like a cat by AoA over and over again. Also special mention to Purr by Viviz, I feel like he would start listening to cat-themed songs as a joke and end up loving them. Would probably listen to Jungkook too, and it would be Jimin and Taemin solo stan.

Anyway, here is the final part of the list, I think everyone would listen to many more bands or songs but I narrowed it down a bit, and once again I would love to read other opinions or suggestions!

I just think that once he gets together with Edwin, Charles will be SUCH a giggler. Whether Edwin's purposefully flirting, complimenting Charles in a professional context, or just expressing sincere affection, Charles is grinning, he's getting flustered, bashful, even. He's laughing into kisses. Or maybe he gets cocky and teases Edwin in retaliation. Either way, Charles is a guy who's always trying to have a good time, and he has SO much fun being in love 🥰🥰🥰

Part 2:

Niko I would definitely listen to a lot of kpop bands but if I had to narrow it down a bit I would probably say Seventeen, I feel like they have their vibes, with songs that talk about this idea of sweet, pink love and more relaxing sounds. If I had to name a girl group for her it would probably be Twice and New Jeans, once again a sweeter concept in some cases but they still have their strong moments and female power.

Now Crystal I actually thought a lot about what groups she would listen to, and I feel that she would like the colors and experimental style of Stray Kids, as well as their lyrics. As for female groups, I feel like I would listen to (G)i-dle or Lesserafim a lot, and their lyrics about female empowerment and breaking stereotypes, I feel like their aesthetics also fit with her. I would listen to Queendom or Eve, the psyche and the bluebeard's wife over and over again.

Jenny, I feel like she's a little more old school buuut a girl group she would definitely listen to is Mamamoo or their solo members, I mean the girls make references all the time about loving a girl. Probably CL or Hyuna too.

Also Monsta X with their themes and their more adult and sexy vibes, and Shinee and her concepts, I feel that it would be something that she would identify with.

-Edwin I feel like he would be a BTS core stan, reading the theories and finding it fascinating how they relate to books he has read, spring day makes him cry and he really likes the BST Mv . Also probably Red Velvet or Gfriend idk i feel like they have an aesthetic and vibe that he would like.

-Charles definitely TXT, with the punk-rock vibe and emo lyrics it's so Him, Thursday's child has far to go is his song 🔥 Also Ateez for both their lively and sexy songs and their sad songs. And For the girl group probably Dreamcatcher, it also has that darker vibe, Dami is his bias.

This is just the part One (? I feel like it ended up being a lot longer than I expected so I decided to split it into 3 parts, the next one will probably have Niko, Crystal and Jenny and the last part will have Monty and the Cat King.

I love how it's canon that Niko and Edwin watch Scooby Doo, and how they probably watched NBC's Sherlock, but you know what I think they watched RWRB because Taylor Zakhar Perez is totally Edwin's type, I mean look at Charles and then Alex they are the same person.

Also, Edwin is a bit like Henry so that just makes it more hilarious.
