my body is prison

and I have a life sentence

my body is a prison

but I have to act like it’s a haven

told to be grateful for everyday

like every day isn’t filled with intolerable pain

my body is prison

but sometimes I can feel the sun

a break for an hour here an hour there

my body is a prison

and sometimes I wish it was death row

so I could eat my last meal and finally go

my body is a prison

I would love to escape

be free like everyone else

climbing

trying not fall

but falling is easy

i’ve done it once before

rock bottom wasn’t comfortable

but I finally found the ground

trying not to fall

everyone wants to climb to the top instead of just making the bottom better for everyone

one day people will realize my sanity is more important to me than a relationship with anyone

went to an immersive Van Gogh exhibit

As I lay awake

In this empty room

My mind wandered

Causing a feeling of impending doom

Do i stay?

Do I go?

Do I walk around like nothing so

Do I stomp my feet and make a scene?

Do I go quietly into the ravine?

Do I end it now with just my thoughts

Or do I battle it out as I fill with knots?
