● There are pockets of untouched places next to pockets of devastated places. There are large homes destroyed and tiny homes unscathed. There are places without light and water, and those with water and light.

● On St. Vincent & the Grenadines in 2021 there was, among other challenges, the volcanic eruption of La Soufriere. In 2024 it is the devastation of Hurricane Beryl. While these events are essentially acts of nature, they seem perceptibly influenced by the hand of man.

● The Grenadine isles of St. Vincent and the Grenadines were especially devastated. Boats , trees and homes are now left in intertwined heaps of debris.

● Scattered leaves, scattered homes, scattered sounds of distant pounding, and people raking their lives back together.

● The winds raged for about three hours, whipping trees to and fro; huffing and puffing at homes with vulnerable souls inside. Enraged waves ravaged the coastal lines. Then there was a sudden calm again; and the rains hitherto blown away, fell.
