Freelance Work - Grassy Rocks
I was commissioned to model, bake and texture rocks for a mobile game. I tried to keep it as low poly as possible and made variations on texture res but baking was tricky for some reason.

Chubby Fish
I doodled this fish in Zbrush and decided to map and texture him. There's not much else to it but also what more could you want? He's a chubby lil guy.

Freelance Work - Texturing Assets for an Arcane inspired Project

Freelance work Commisioned by littleshaolin
I was commisioned to texture different types of assets in the style of the Arcane Netflix show and while I was not very familiar with it I feel I was able to adapt to the style well for this set of work. I did not make any of the assets though had to UV map some. Textures are all my work and they are hand painted. I also created a trim sheet with some stylised images to go around a corridoor setting as posters and signs.

Concept Art I have made for a character of mine.
A metal being. One that has taken a lot of inspiration from nature and incorpirated it in to his form, a sort of druidic approach that is especially contradicting for someone that was initially manufactured.
I just had a bit of fun playing around with colour and trying out some brushes and temperatures/seasons. In a way this is concept art for a character I have created but for now he will remain fairly shrouded. This character is one I have had in mind for a long time and he does have a story but it is really only within the last year or so I began drawing up how he looks.

Super Market Mayhem
Prop collection
All of these can be purchased for about £8 and can be used in what ever project you like. Get them on Turbosquid or Gumroad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Props from the Super Market Mayhem game project from late 2020. These are my renders of the props. It's sort of styled like an M&S advert similar to the game trailer we came up with.
The game is cartoony in style with bright colours. It's also over the top and chaotic and would use a lot of physics.I created the models in Maya and hand painted them with Photoshop. Low poly and most food groups all share one material which was useful for saving space especially in the type of chaotic physics based game that this was. With the project no longer going anywhere but all these props lying around I decided to put them up for a tiny price. You can purchase all of these assets in one big bundle on Turbosquid or Gumroad and use them in what ever project you like. Just don't resell them or put them up for download elsewhere.
3D Viewport of the prop collection.
I mostly worked on the props and their textures for this project but I also designed the logo for both the game and team as well as other random 2D art assets that would be used in the levels.

Freelance Work: Anime styled Stained Glass Textures
Stained glass art that I created for a clients anime style game. I painted the glass to fit the window panes and I also textured the environment around it, though I do not take any credit for creating any of the meshes or UV mapping in this comission.
I was given a drawing of each character and I had to come up with a design on the stained glass texture to represent them. There were 6 characters over all and each one was part animal and 2 were sort of detectives. 3 of them were rabbits so I had to get a little creative, one was a cat, another a dog and lastly one was a fox. I think these turned out rather well, the colours are pretty and match the scene well. The way I made them look as though a little light was coming through was through emissive textures I made for the glass.

Tomuween 2022 Drawing Challenge
Tomuween is a drawing challenge for October/Halloween where I draw Tomu, Pol's snowy Panda companion, in different outfits or forms. I also get to test out different styles and tools while at it. My friends came up with the idea for me to do it last year and it was good so I did it agan. Thought I may as well share them here. I didn't make as many this year with everything going on but managed to get some good ones out + recorded the process.

I finally got to play DMC during 2020. Wanted to play it as a kid after seeing a trailer for it on a demo disc but the marienet things creeped me out. Anyway played through 1 - 5 (yes even 2, real gamers can persist through it xD) and loved it. I did one of Vergil in the previous Tomuween, 2021, so did a Dante one for this year.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Me and my friends got in to What we do in the shadows early 2021 so had to pay homage to it especially since we had recently been rewatching it at the time of drawing this too. Then I made a Dead Rising 2 Tomu, as Chuck ofcourse, and then a quicker one as Ragnaros from WoW - making use of a fire gradient map I created for Clip Studio.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both of these are based off of Shinboi, the ps2 game. On the left Tomu as the main character, Hotsuma, and then on the right as Moritsune. Both playable characters in the game. Also the red scarf is just iconic.
Video of speed paints / processes
Took me a while to get around to uploading it due to house repairs and stuff, you can hear me waffling on about it at the start. But yup, there is a video of the paintng process for each one.

Tomuween 2021 Drawing Challenge
The first Tomuween challenge I did after my friends suggested it when I couldn't pick which October/Halloween art challenge to go with. Making my own around Tomu, my Pandaren Pol in WoW's companion, was a good idea and I created a collection of small cool, a little creepy or funny art pieces. Also allowed me to mess around with some different art styles and tools. Link to the full collection of Tomuweens on my DeviantArt.
Drawings:

This is the very first Tomuween drawing, so it had to be something to get things going so went with something very popular for Halloween.

If anyone played WoW around mid to late 2021 you know what this is. lol My friend picked the title to go with this clear drawing of a fruit bowl... and she also apparently printed out a little framed version and hung it near her monitor. xD
Tumblr media
Inspired by the Dead by Daylight Oni. Only it's Tomu's spin on it. :D I really liked this one since I played with a sort of ink style and made my own watercolour brushes to go with.

The last two. Monk on the left, perhaps he took after Pol in this case and picked up some monk skills of his own. Icly he has shown the ability to pick up sticks as staves and was gifted a training sword months back. On the right is his "true form" wether or not him having a true form is truth or not is up to you. xD

Final year of Uni - Team Project
This team game we worked on was called For Valhalla. A third person game where you play as a viking that goes in to other realms of the after life to fight other warriors and their gods or aspects.
We did have some bigger plans for it but due to the size of our team and still learning quite a bit we just had to go with taking on loads of little warriors over a boss fight themed thing. Still I think it turned out pretty well.

I intended to post a little more stuff before Christmas but had a lot of things to sort out over December. Stuff from storage, reporting stuff missing from storage and then juggling some freelance work while completely repopulating my room - still got half the floor to do in it though. xD
But yeah got some stuff to post anyway. Also got the last little bit of the uni work posts to put through too.

The last year of Uni and we were tasked with two things to focus on for the year instead of multiple.
For my honour project I focussed on creating one environment area. A street from some sort of strange elf like town. Those long alien like things I came up with. A part of it was playing with colour theory too.
Beauty Shots of the final version
Concept Art
Some concept art from my sketchbook and some digital art + paint overs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I started with some sketches of ideas for buildings, streets and props. I came up with some core shapes and patterns. I was taking some inspiration from some art nouveau styles but instead of going full nature, like flowery or tree likes shapes, and took more of the asymmetry and flowing shapes then built it around square or round structures.
Colour Test concept art
Tumblr media
I did quite like the autumn like pallete I made but I wanted to challenge myself with the cold red and purple type one. Something about it seemed a little bolder and challenging so yep.
Paint over and some individual prop art conceps.

Last bit of work from the second year of Uni. This being the mountain project. A combination of the modelling module and the programming module. There was an option to do them seperate or together.
So I created a snowy mountain level with druidic ruins. It is inspired by the area I had recently moved to that year, basically in the Pennines. You can see in the first image that I gathered a bunch of photo references. Me, my mum and dad got up early, had some bacon, eggs and sosig before heading out on a drive to get some photos. At first I thought the snow had already melted, typical Mancunian snow issues, but once we drove a few mins in to the hills. Boom. Loads of lovely snowy spots to see. A fun day out, got cool pics and yeah. :D

I actually managed to find the videos I made.
One is a fly through thing, pretty messy since I hadn't fully grasped how to use the on rails thing before having to hand in. Was still tying up the way some of the puzzles worked. The other is a little walkthrough, I decided to not show my other half of that video where it's double the amount of time where I just go over what I did etc for the project submission.
Last but not least: Some of the models from the project.
The animal statues and 2 of the tree types.

Another bit of 3D work from my second year of Uni.
This one is Jarl's Hammer. I took the dwarf I designed for the D&D campaign in the first year of Uni and created his main hand weapon. The mace/hammer.
There is a lot of sheep and ram imagery in hi design and so it was fitting to go full sheep mode on the weapon and shield too. :D
I mostly went with rams because he was prone to charging in to combat, situations and even conversations without much thought. Plus rams are cool so I decided his group/clan of dwarves had rams as their favourite animal. Also I knew it would lead to some cool armour and gear designs for him.

More work from the second year of Uni. This here is the first proper team game project I worked on. With my teammates Will, Will and Maksym. The game: Kubo's Adventure (Or something like that.) You play as Kubo the turtle, a ruins explorer, out on the hunt for an artefact deep within a pyramid.
The ruins were shared by lizards and birds and has four wings representing different seasons. I unfortunatly cannot find all of the art for this, there was an interesting sketch of a indoor waterway but unsure if that got corrupted or lost. Luckily I had uploaded the most important 3D assets too and some bonus ones back when sketchfab didn't have a limit. (And cool rendering/lighting scenes pre set up)
The Statues
The artefact/goal and Puzzle pieces. An ancient crown of pure gold.
Some of the props dotted around. Really I should have put them together in to one scene but I wasn't thinking about it like that when I uploaded them.

Work from my second year of Uni.
Got quite a bit more to post here so will chop this up in to different parts.
To start:
My first proper model. The Tuskarr inspired Postbox / Mailbox.
After creating the market stand for my Pandaren, Pol, and then creating that headbust I guess months later when I went back for the second year of Uni I must have just grown more of an affinity for 3D Modelling. Genuinly love this model. Not to toot my own horn too much but it was my first proper model and it looked good, neat and upon marking no room for improvement. Aced it. *flex*
I really like prop art and getting to tell a story, wether it be an actual story, how it's used or the tale of it's environment and culture around it, and I really liked working on this one. Same for many many props.
