Thank you, Ben! I appreciate that. I was hoping that the detail might make it easier for people to return the journal to me so let’s see what happens. I’ve got my fingers crossed. I did check the lost and found of the Crownbucks I was in, but that does make me think I should’ve checked the trash bins too so maybe I’ll go back and ask about that. Nothing else was taken from the table but that’s also because there was nothing else on the table. I took my phone and my bag with me to the restroom and left the journal both because it’s so large and also to hold my spot but unfortunately it didn’t quite work out that way. I loathe to think we have a thief in our midst either and I’m praying that that’s not the case.

A good walk through the castle gardens sounds very fun to me! I like to go for walks to clear my mind too and the more distracting the view, the better. And I’ve heard famously good things about the roses in your family’s castle, so I’ll have to give that a go this summer. Have you thought about finding a new surrounding to walk amongst, if just for a day? How do you feel about walks on the beach, my King?

Please let me know if anyone does find and return it! I’d very much like to know how it all turns out. Trash bins have a funny way of pulling important items towards them when they shouldn’t be thrown away. Before I graduated, I had been studying for an exam and accidentally threw my notes away with my napkins -- it couldn’t hurt to ask if anyone saw a notebook in a bin when they were taking the trash out at the end of the night or something. Of course, that makes sense, and I’m really glad that you didn’t leave your bag with you. Could you imagine if you had left that to save your spot and that went missing? It’s a good thing it was just the notebook, not that your things missing at all is anything to celebrate. But it’s good that it wasn’t worse than it is.

The gardens are probably my favorite part of the castle grounds, they’re usually much quieter than the rest of the grounds so it’s perfect when you’re looking for something a little more secluded. You know, a change in scenery sounds perfect actually. I might have to take your advice and do just that, thank you. And I can’t recall the last time I went for a walk on the beach? Do you go to the beach often?

I’m so sorry you’re not enjoying your break, Briella! And sorry if I’m at all contributing to the boredom -- I’m trying to balance personal and kingdom life more, but I’ve never been the best at multi-tasking, you know. Is there something you’d like to do? I can carve some time out and we can spend the afternoon together or something. Or if all you’re really looking for are some new books, why not see what Mother has in her library? I’m sure she’s got books we’ve never even heard of before in there.

This has felt like the longest summer ever. I’ve read every book that I own, baked, painted, ate everything I could think of and the list goes on. Is there a chance you have any ideas that I can do to pass the rest of the summer? I’ve never been so bored and so ready for school to start.

Hello, I hope you’re all having a wonderful summer. I don’t mean to complain  but something rather distressing just happened. I’ve been hunkered down at the Crownbucks in Auradon City and when I took a brief break from my table to use the facilities, I came back to find that my Bible Study Journal was gone. I’ve had that journal for a long time and it means a lot to me, so if you accidentally picked up a thick journal with light green flowers on the cover from a table at a coffee shop, please take the liberty of responding to this, publicly or privately. Also, please respond if you happened to be in the restaurant and saw what happened, or if you have ideas as to how to track it down. And if none of those things happen, well, I just hope whoever found my journal needed it more than I do; perhaps it was the Lord’s way of ending up in your life and if so, that’s amazing.

In the meantime, I’d be very grateful to anyone who could distract me from fretting about my misplaced journal, so what are you all doing to enjoy your summer? 

I am so sorry to hear that your journal is missing, Chasity. And thank you for describing it in such great detail! I’ll keep an eye out for it and let you know if I see it around anywhere. Have you checked to see if maybe it accidentally ended up in a lost and found bin or something? Also, was anything else taken from your table or just that? I hate to assume that someone stole it, I really hope it’s just a common case of misunderstanding and someone thought it had been left behind, but if anything else was taken, then it looks like it might be the former.

As for summer plans, I don’t have anything fun to report, unfortunately. Although I did manage to go for a walk in the castle gardens and the roses were blooming nicely. It might be a good distraction, if you’re looking for one. Walks have always done wonders for my mood.

Audrey: Oh who was it? Aziz? Jordan?

Ben: Oh, you just reminded me, it's been a while since I saw Jordan. I should see how she's doing...

Ben: But no! It was the Enchantress! And more like I saw her while I was out and about today, but she seemed to be doing well. Most of the parents that have come from the Isle do, actually.

Ben: I don't usually vent, and I'm so sorry that you had to be on the receiving end of this, but it's getting a little frustrating to be seeing all the back and forth with everything. Like, one day, it's great, I'm doing good by bringing people back from the Isle and then the next I'm bad for not just doing it in one big batch.

Doug: My trash take-out food is wherever I can get orange chicken. Did you know that basically has as much sugar as candy? It's so good though! You deserve to let loose though so pizza it up. Maybe even get some cheese sticks

Ben: I did not, but it was always a little sweet tasting to me, so it's really not that surprising honestly. It at least has more protein than candy at least, right? So you can feel good about that. Confession, I've never been a fan of cheese sticks. Cheesy bread though, is another story.

Lev: I can't think of a reason she would be spying on you if that helps? I'm sure some people probably want to know what the life of a king is like but Gani is very uninterested in the unmagical. I don't think you give off anti-cat vibes! If anything it's probably just that kids have more fun sneaking things around sometimes. Like I used to take books to bed with me and hide them under my pillows even though my parents would've totally let me read.

Ben: Me neither, and not just her. I don't know why anyone would want to! There's not much to my life really, just meetings and more meetings. Barely any time to really do anything that I find enjoyable. Well, other than trying to make life better for everyone in Auradon. That part I do like. Oh, guess that makes sense. Who's more likely to have a cat, do you think? I thought if anyone, it'd be your sister or perhaps Jeremy.

Doug: I'm sure they'd understand! And besides, there's always someone else who can eat the food, so it's not like it'll go to waste. If you're ordering in though, why not something better than pizza?

Ben: Because I can't even remember the last time I had pizza? It's not something I eat very often and while I usually try to eat better than that, it just feels like the kind of night to let loose a little.

Lev: If it's a black cat with purple eyes, it's Kally's sister's cat who used to spy on me! She hasn't set Alanna on me for a while though so hopefully that's not it. Maybe one of the younger Potts kids snuck one in?

Ben: Well, that's not worrying at all! What if it is that cat and she's spying on me? Not that I have any idea WHY anyone would want to do that, but now the thought's there. Does a cat really seem like something they feel like they have to sneak in? Have I been putting out anti-cat vibes subconsciously? Because I'm really not opposed to them at all.
