Boruto 73: Not a rant (yet?)

So... I have waited a couple of episodes after letting my frustration with all this ship baiting take over me.

However, today I just have some thoughts about the current Arc...

I am going to be honest an say this before I start, I am loving this Arc a lot. And yes, I ship Borumitsu with all my heart so I am not the most unbiased person around.

Anyway, I have some predictions about where this Arc will go... 

Last week I was sure that this Arc will focus on Mitsuki discovering what or who was his real Sun. I though that this could have two possible endings: a) He realises that his Sun are his friends/the village/a dream. b) He reaffirms that his Sun is solely Boruto.

However, what’s been happening it’s something I couldn’t have predicted. This is Boruto’s Arc as much as it is Mitsuki’s. I am sure by now that they are forcing Boruto to appreciate Mitsuki and that they both will end up having a more mutual and wholesome relationship at the end of this. And this is great! I can see that SP has finally realised that Mitsuki is a fan-favorite but also that they can not keep him having a one-sided infatuation with Boruto. I have high hopes for this Arc improving their mutual trust and... since their abilities complement each other so well, they could fight as a duo in the future. They both will become the most powerful support for Sarada and her dream. I kinda want to see a protagonist that doesn’t have to fight alone, whilst it could be good if Sarada is the independent member of their team.

So by now I am sure that Mitsuki will reaffirm that Boruto is his Sun and most importantly, Boruto will finally acknowledge Mitsuki as he deserves. And as a shipper, I would love if their Sun and Moon bond becomes the most important to each other. So I still have that little tiny thought bugging on my mind... that they will pull some BS and make Mitsuki marry a girl with whom he had some comedic shippy moment in a fillery episode... If it comes to that, it really will be better if they just stopped their damn baiting and started fleshing out the ships they are planning on making cannon!

Anyway, a little of a SIDE NOTE: About Orochimaru and the ‘bomb’ he planted in Mitsuki. So, I am sure it is either a lie or it is not as horrific and some people may think. Actually, I think  that he mentioned that in front of Boruto on purpose. 

Am I looking too much into it? Because I think that it will play out lately and make Boruto get really worried about Mitsuki once this Arc starts to peak up. Leading to them developing this mutual appreciation by the end, it may be part of Orochi’s plan. But at the end, It will be revealed that said curse mark will just explode under Mitsuki’s will or that it got deactivated once Mitsuki found his Sun.

Yes, it still sound cruel but you should realise that Orochimaru wasn’t trying to create a cute little baby but a perfect ninja. And we know that ninjas that get caught by enemies usually immolate themselves to protect their information. So Orochimaru just created the perfect shinobi’s body that doesn’t carry poison pills of explosives for this purpose. I am sure that he will let Mitsuki decide whether he has to use it some day, that’s the point of letting him gain autonomy. I am also expecting Boruto to say that Mitsuki isn’t replaceable with all the other clones since his decisions and experiences are what make him unique.

Boruto 68: Personal rant again(?)

I need to let this out so I am going to be honest and said it.

I dislike that Chouchou x Mitsuki pairing a lot.

And I am having very serious trigger warnings from this episode that I just can’t ignore anymore.

I swear I saw the title “Kiss mode” or something and was a the edge of my seat. With Chouchou diminishing Mitsuki’s looks and all, I was terrified that they were going to pull a “she end up kissing the boy she despised by accident” kind of thing. 

I am completely distressed because this arc hasn’t finished yet...

I am fully aware that Kishi has something to do with the scrip of this Arc so I am not going to turn a blind eye of this one. This has serious connotations about the end game pairings because It is treated as a joke in Kishi’s style (SaiIno anyone?) and it’s hetero. Is this the route you are going for? Great.

Can they just stop playing with us already? I did read the titles of the next episodes and I know they are going back to the Sun and Moon thing. My Mitsuboru heart feels deceived already.

Just shot and kill me already. I can’t believe I am going through this again after all the distress I suffered while being a Naruhina fan during 10 years. I know I am not winning this time, but stop... like... baiting with the ships already!

Thoughts after Boruto EP 41

So... I have to let this out of my chest and maybe no one will read it (but if so, read everything please or go to the conclusion) 

(This is a personal “rant” about the tags mentioned and my feelings so I am not really stating facts -except the SP part-, don’t feel attacked if you like any of the ships).

I was a Naruhina shipper in the previous generation and now I am (still) a Borumitsu shipper.

Being the low-key fujoshi I am, I didn’t understand why I never shipped Narusasunaru. Now I know. Although I may have forgotten because I started to watch Naruto 10 years ago and then Sasuke almost never appeared... 

I always thought that Sasuke was insufferable at the beginning! 

Never understood why the female characters swoon for him, his arrogance and his emo attitude irked me. I hated that everyone would use him as an example to demean Naruto. And I never found anything endearing in their bantering although at the very end it was a bit more friendly and less aggressive. Being Hinata the exception who was able to see the good in Naruto the way I saw, I obviously ended up supporting the ship with my heart. Sakura is my most hated character so you will infer that I disliked her behaviour even more.

I was fully ready to support Borusara after the movie but SP decided to keep her at the side lines over almost 40 freaking episodes! And they also decided to make Mitsuki very VERY close to Boruto. I am primary a shipper who likes to find pairing everywhere. Of course I fell for that!

Now, I NEVER expected Borumitsu to be cannon because I know SP and their ill-mannered ways of attracting audience (but I was ready to enjoy the moments). And I was still fine with Borusara because I liked Sarada so my future as a shipper was bright... 

WRONG! I don’t like new team 7 for shipping! I waited 4 episodes now and I can see where this is going. I read the Sarada gaiden and watched Boruto movie when it first came out and I didn’t thought that Sarada was going to have THIS personality. I always saw her as a nice child very different from her parents but oh boy! She is not just like Sasuke (who I forgot how much I disliked him) but she is also like Sakura and I hate this! (For shipping that is).

I also realised that SP changed or worsened Boruto personality so He will start this stupid bantering with Sarada. He is acting as an idiot! Honestly, I could have been fine with this if the anime have started at this point but I have been watching a nice and kind child during 40 freaking weeks who just have problems with his father and not with the whole world!

Ok, I watched today’s episode and they toned down all this foolishness. Sarada was balanced again an now is a bearable Sasuke/bit of Sakura (still not the personality I thought she was!). Boruto was an ok idiot and Mitsuki... Oh my boy Mitsuki who IS (still) my favourite character stopped being in the sidelines but... BUT now all his interventions in team 7 are to attack Boruto somehow like... why? how?? It came out of nowhere!

I knew that Mitsuki had to stop seeing him as a god and be more firm when he wanted to do something childish (I wanted this development for the very sake of my Borumitsu ship) but why now he verbally attacks Boruto?, he was someone who will see Boruto trying to put on a brave face (not bragging, he never bragged like this before) and smiled amused. Not put him to an open shame. 

I need context at least, like Boruto messing up really badly and Mitsuki realising that he needs to talk out in his place any hidden feelings so that they can stop him in time...   

But no, now he is Sai with his un-called commentaries which seems like they are the only way SP can use to mark his presence on the team.

So they are now like Naruto-Sakura-Sai but with a less rude Sai and Sakura not hitting Naruto. A nice team if you ask me but not good for shipping.

I think I can not like Borusara because I like nice and supportive interactions for romantic relationships and my Borumitsu heart in breaking with each episode ‘cause SP will do everything to further their Borusara agenda and that means sidelining Mitsuki by making him a comic-relief by making fun of Boruto (perhaps unintentionally) and also... Mitsuki should be able to deal with those weak ninjas today. He had no problems with attacking Shino in EP6(?) and now he is holding back, at least give him a reason like he doesn’t want to show the team his potential yet or something. 

Like 3 episodes ago they make him hold a freaking bridge so that Boruto and Sarada can have their bantering while fighting in a duo. They could at least emphasize that he SHOULD be strong for holding a freaking bridge by himself!

CONCLUSION

Ok, I need to repeat myself. SP finally did a good job today and the team interactions are nice and way better (as a team) that older team 7. However, for shipping it seems like Borusara is not my cup of tea and I am staying on board of the Borumitsu ship a bit more in hopes that their old relationship will come back and then improve(it needed improvements I know). Also Boruto have mentioned that “Mitsuki is turning his back on him” which means that at least SP knows that Mitsuki is acting different to the beginning and they are not planning to make it look like he has been Sai all this time. 

I love Borumitsu, don’t want to jump ship but I may have to if this continues and what will I have left? Borusumi?? This makes me feel sad...

PS: Never said that bantering ships are wrong, just not my thing.

Some of you may have watched my Slaine Troyard - aLIEz - AMV and this new project works as a ‘prequel’ to it. Hope someone can enjoy it~

It’s been more than a year since I first watched this anime and I’m still in AZ hell, my life now consists of waiting for the very scarce official art and re-reading fics.

Specially THE fanfic we all know and love, hopefully the author can delight us with a new chapter in the near future *wink*wink*

So... I just edited the original opening of Koi to uso and added some new scenes with Misaki, Riri-chan and... Nisaka~

I just did it on a whim! It doesn’t have a complete change of scenery but I hope someone could enjoy it.

I used an extended version to compile some major events in the Golden Arc. It’s somewhat of a character study about Griffith’s mindset and his complex relationship with Guts. I wanted to tell a story but the beat of the song basically decided the scenes...
