_autumn studying challenge;
🍁10th October - What is your favourite autumn food?🍁
French toast with fruit and cream cheese accompanied by coffee, without a shadow of a doubt. And if it's in my favorite coffee shop, perfect combination. It's a most cozy place in the world.

Things I Tell My Younger Sister Regarding School Because I’m a Sage So Benefit From Me While You Can
Disclaimer : The following advice may not work for everyone especially if you’re a college student because it’s primarily related to school however I’m pretty sure you will also find one or two pearls of wisdom and sagacity nonetheless
♣️ Always take risks during the term (this is if your final grades aren’t affected by your class performance during the term which is often the case in school) that is partake in extra and co-curricular activities (but not at the expense of curriculum itself) as well as selecting those questions in general class tests you’re afraid to do. This will help you gain confidence as you’re getting out of your comfort zone. Remember your knowledge of a certain subject is only as proficient as your weakest concept of it. As for those activities, you will gain exposure that helps you gain confidence and nothing, I repeat nothing beats it in the long run.
♣️ Start working on your concepts of science subjects as early as you can. Strive for comprehension before grades. If you run after marks and not comprehension, there is a danger that you’ll end up an educated ignorant. Concepts aka. Excellence >>> Grades
♣️ Notes and key books and guides are all helpful but don’t forsake the actual textbook you’ve been provided. I often see people paying so much attention to these extra things and past papers that they fail to learn the actual text and consequently end up answering the questions wrong. Always make your own book actual priority.
♣️ If you ever zone out during the class (which is inevitable at one point or another) and now you’ve zoned in and realized that you don’t get what is being said, a simple strategy I always use is raise your hand, when teacher asks you the matter, respectfully tell them, “Can you please repeat the last point you just mentioned?” instead of asking people around you which will only make you suspicious in the eyes of teacher and won’t help much either . It will also make the teacher think you’re taking interest in the class.
♣️ Don’t expect languages to follow strict rules and regulations of grammar. All grammar rules are really just generalizations of patterns observed by linguistics and there’s often deviance from them and exceptions. Language proficiency is essentially memorization so do that.
♣️ If you have say a chapter (or a book) to prepare and it seems daunting and you’re wondering how you’ll be able to revise it all, always start from backwards i.e. learn the last topic first, then the one before that all the way upto the first one. Same goes for chapters of a book, start with the last one and follow the same suit. Firstly, this will help you tackle the stuff that’s actually intimidating you since it’s almost the last parts of a chapter we have weak command over and also it helps you solidify your knowledge in a more consistent way.
♣️ Don’t shy away from asking questions during the class because you have to be a fool to be a master. So please, I beg of you to ask questions during class because unanswered questions amount to poorer concepts and confusion and there’s nothing more agonizing than that.
♣️ Don’t multitask especially when you’re studying. Focus on one thing at a time and forget the rest during that time.
♣️ While learning a paragraph, topic or a chapter, always divide it into smaller chunks. This will help you think about your task in fragments as opposed to one big daunting task. So if you finish one fragment, it will not only make you happy that something is completed but also give a positivity boost to help you tackle the rest.
♣️ Writing down information helps you consolidate it better as well it improves comprehension so try to write what you’ve learnt everyday and make it a habit. Your goal should be that before finals, everything has been through your pen at least once.
♣️ A little harmless thing, one that I religiously do before a test or exam is that once you’ve completed the preparation, predict the questions you want in the exam. If they’ll be part of exam, it’ll make you really happy when you see the question paper and if they are not, you’ve lost nothing.
♣️ Always respect your teachers no matter how good or bad they really are and never talk ill behind their backs, ever. Teachers can be terrible as well but always behave modestly with them. There is this saying in my language Urdu: با ادب با نصیب، بے ادب بے نصیب which translates to “ The one with Obedience shall be the one with Fortune, The one without the former will be deprived of the latter.”

09.27.21 | good morning!!! 🌤 decided to take more film-like pictures. documenting life in my own little ways. wishing everyone a good start of the week (including me).
to bump up my day I let myself sleep 10mins more to recover from my recurrent nightmare, then I showered while I brewed coffee, hopped in a research meeting, ate my fave banana-loaf bread for breakfast, and now I’m just doing my last review before our shifting exam later at noon before our parasitology class

OCT 2 / 21
happy October 😬 September spreads were fun but I do admit I have been using my bujo less. I’m also participating in some inktober challenges so I won’t be using my bujo that much. But lots of art content still coming 🤪
