I just watched Shekhar Home (2024) by BBC India/JioCinema. With Kay Kay Menon & Ranvir Shorey

Despite being inspired by BBCSH, it manages to overcome the cases, and better explain them, making the references to the canon even more evident. And it takes place in the 90s.

The first episode is an adaptation of Study in Pink, but unlike BBCSH the explanation and motivations of the killer are more coherent, and Shekhar is smarter than Sherlock when it comes to facing the killer:

The second episode is based on the story of the "League of Redheads" with a contextualization to Indian society and I found it incredible, the same occurs in the adaptation of "Scandal in Bohemian", Irene's motivations are social justice policies, and Shekhar helps her. (She is beautiful and sings beautifully)

The fourth episode brings together "The Hound of the Baskervilles" and "The Devil's Foot", again in a well-contextualized.

The fifth episode is a flashback, and Shekhar was a college professor of Forensic Science, who occasionally helped the police, such as Dr. Joseph Bell.

The sixth episode is AMAZING, no spoiler about it.

Shekhar and Sahni's (Watson) relationship develops very quickly, they are soon friends and then detective partners.

Lestrade and Mrs. Hudson's version are very funny. Mycroft is here too. Big Brother 🤏

Sahni wants their business to make money so they can pay the rent, which Shekhar is against. Sahni is also active in the investigations, as much a detective as Shekhar.

The series is AMAZING, so good, and the ending is SURPRISING AND SHOCKING.
