When I was little I used to play mermaids in the pool with two other girls and one boy. The boy always wanted to be a mermaid instead of a merman, his reasoning being that “it’s weird that mermen show their nipples”. So, because he decided to be a mermaid and despite the fact that we didn’t need a merman, the other little girls decided that I had to be the merman.
All this is to say, I think I prefer being a merman

I don’t post a lot, but I’ve been playing Fear And Hunger Termina and I noticed something: Levi might also be trans
Assuming the (very corrupt) orphanage was getting sent the wages of the children they sent to the military, it would make sense for them to want to send as many children as possible. So, why not disguise some of the girls as boys in order to send them into combat?
On top of that, his moon scorched form doesn’t really have obvious genitalia, with only pubic hair being visible. Being positioned as he is in a game that isn’t shy about nudity in any way, it could be expected that more would exposed. But it isn’t.
Levi’s moon scorch also, similarly to Abella’s, has a very masculine frame. While it could be argued that this disproves the theory, I’d say it furthers it. Abella’s moon scorch appears masculine due to how she feels less feminine because of her strength and career. If Levi were trans or had been forced into a masculine role, the same sort of thing could apply.
This would also add to Marina and Levi’s parallels as Marina’s transition helped her avoid violence whereas Levi’s forced him into violence. Also t4t Marina and Levi would be cool
