quite literally, to become a system your brain has to react to a form of trauma. it doesn't necessarily have to be extreme trauma, it's just how your brain reacts to it. we understand it is hard to tell if you're a system or not because it is a extremely confusing concept, but if you have no trauma. YOU. ARE. NOT. A. SYSTEM.

can we also talk about the fact that people with safe & healthy households WANT TRAUMA? people act like it's fun, seriously dude it isn't. people need to realize being screamed at everyday, always feeling anxious or stressed, and not wanting to go home isn't a fun thing to experience.

This!!! TikTok was ehere I found people who had similar experiences to me and gave me words for what I was experiencing which helped me learn and find out what to research that lead to diagnosis for me

it's so funny to me when i see pearl-clutching articles about how "teenagers are diagnosing themselves with mental disorders via tiktok" because like. this is not happening in a vacuum. teenagers are severely and i mean severely medically neglected. i cannot stress this enough. teenagers do not have free access to medical care. those same news outlets would be clowning on women with housewife psychosis in the 1950's.

i sometimes go pale when listening to some of what my friends have gone through in their childhoods and teenagehoods. they talk about it so nonchalantly, things that would be considered straight up torture if done to an adult, can't fathom the effect this has on children. they are on multiple anti-psychotics and several antidepressants and anxiety meds now that they are adults. medical neglect has legally and effectively disabled them. a timely diagnosis and intervention could have saved them. of course teenagers are self-diagnosing using tiktok. if your knee-jerk reaction is to scoff at the idea and dismiss it as dumb teenager shit instead of being radicalized because the best shot young people have at attaining the mental health support they need is a fucking dancing videos app, you're categorically a political enemy of the youth.

I actually cannot believe I’m making this post but here we go.

This is the person’s description. Please note, I am not fake claiming them on being a RAMCOA/HC-DID system or their alter count. I am also not fake claiming them based on the fact they claim to have a DSMP script, even though the timing feels a little weird to me.

‘But you are fake claiming them-‘ Yes I am. And for two main reasons. Number one, claiming to have diagnosed ASPD.

ASPD cannot and is not diagnosed as a minor. You must be at least 18 to be diagnosed with ASPD, and if you are any younger it would be considered a conduct disorder. Any professional would know this.

Furthermore, this person claims to live in Mexico (which I will get to in a moment). Mexico uses the ICD for diagnostic criteria, and in the ICD-11, ASPD isn’t even a diagnosis.

But let’s assume this person got diagnosed in the US or is not living in Mexico and got diagnosed with ASPD at 15 years old. The main reason I am calling bullshit is this:

This person claims to be in witness protection. First off, you cannot have any social media if you are in witness protection. Like none at all, which includes tumblr. It doesn’t matter if you don’t use your real name/age/identity, it’s still a huge safety risk even having it, let alone telling people you’re in witness protection and what country you were relocated to.

This person also claims that one of their programmers contacted them. While they were in witness protection. I’m not even going to comment on that, but I will let you guys just connect the dots on this.

We've crocheted a plush cover for our cane handle to make it easier to grip with hand issues (pic attatched).

Very simple to make. Made with plush chenille yarn

Little things I don't think non-cane users would know cause Issues™, for reference in writing!

- gusty wind not only throws personal centre of balance off but if you've got a lightweight metal cane it will throw your placement of the cane off

- same goes for being driven past by busses or lorries

- uneven pavements can suck my ass the cane is meant to be parallel to your leg and this is very hard to do when the pavement isn't level

- same goes for cobbled streets, brick paved streets tend to be smoother so I love them <3

- some paving slabs get really slippy when they're wet! This often means that I lean on my cane much heavier bc I can't rely as much on even my good leg to stay stable

- yes cane height should be adjusted to account for heels/ wedged shoes it's a bit of a bastard if you used a fixed length cane

- using a cane for the first few days/weeks hurts! If u only use it irregularly/ on bad days it can hurt every time! Wrists aren't used to taking weight in this way.
