I'm glad that you brought up that McGucket might not want to be 'fixed' because I actually intentionally avoided using that word in the original ask. I don't think he would want to be 'fixed' and I don't think Dipper would be able to. It would take more finesse than he has at that point and even if done 'correctly' it may hurt McGucket more than it helps. After all, what happened to him in the first place was the result of trying to make the problem go away instead of confronting it in a healthy manor, so if that same strategy was used to resolve the consequences it would be... thematically unsatisfying, to say the least.

That being said, I do think that Dipper would be able to help him, and after considering it on and off since submitting this ask I think it might not even have to do entirely with his explicit powers. Like, yeah I bet he'd be able to do some sort of magical thing to help manage some of the worst symptoms, such as lingering gaps in memory. But I think the most important thing he could do to help McGucket would be to be a friend. After all, arguably what hurt McGucket almost as much if not worse than the memory gun itself was isolation and lack or support (loosing Ford, his wife, his son, etc). The end of the series shows him starting to mend fences, which would be fun to explore on its own, but I think Dipper would also be a good friend for him because he'd be one of the few people able to relate to him.

Or maybe I just think McGucket is an underutilized character and want to see him and the twins go on wacky adventures together, who knows lol.

!!!Book of Bill Spoilers!!!

Okay so in the Book of Bill, Bill tried to enter McGucket's mind after Ford finds him out, and he finds it so broken that it actually injures him (he describes it as the first time he'd ever felt pain that wasn't hilarious) and he leaves really quickly. That got me thinking, do you think Alcor would be powerful enough soon enough that he could help McGucket? His mind would likely be starting to slowly heal after seeing the logs of his erased memories, but there's no way there's not still some damage. Plus we don't have much McGucket in TAU so I think it would be cool if Alcor could help him out!

hmmm so we can look at this two ways.

one, we have broken this boy so bad that yeah, he'd probably be powerful enough to do it.

but otoh...

we've established that his power is still in it's early stages when he is a young adult/living in gravity falls. but more than that, is this a problem that could truly be solved with brute force? rather, the brain is a delicate, DELICATE thing- and McGucket spent most of his adult life going in there with the equivalent of a chainsaw swinging around in there.

so yes, dipper probably has the power on paper to 'fix' him. but would it be akin to putting out a candle with a fire hose?

for that matter, would McGucket want to be 'fixed'?

A long time ago I tried to do a project where I made one sketch for every song in the UNDERTALE soundtrack. Unfortunately, I lost steam around Bird The Carries You Over A Disproportionally Small Gap, and most of the sketches weren't very good anyway. My favorite was the one I did for Heartache, so I recently decided to re-draw digitally and post it here!

my adventure into terrariums

So I just recently got into terrariums and just HAD to make some. The plants I used were:

Ficus pumila, peperomia emarginella, assorted moss, red fittonia, baby tears, duckweed, and lawn marsh pennywort.

I am SO happy with how they turned out!! I learned everything from a YouTube channel called terrarium designs.

Such a fun new hobby I found :)

My first ever typography design! The slogan “Gender is a social construct and I’m building without a permit” is something my sibling came up with when I asked for t-shirt ideas, and I think it’s great. Of course, since it was intended to be a t-shirt, you can of course get it on one (or as a sticker or magnet) on my Redbubble! Shameless plug aside, I’m really proud of this design. It took a while to do because I decided to hand-write the letters instead of using a font. Also, since it’s my first typographical design, I’d love some feedback on how I did- what I did right, how I can improve the next one, stuff like that.

Some recent bentos! I tried chikuwa and okra for the first time. I love how they look in the box so it’s a shame that I didn’t like them. Okinawa yam (purple) is delicious though!
