Story Time! Today I thought I had a meeting for a potential networking connection and position at a company that aligned with some of my personal business goals. It turns out that this meeting was an inquisition to assess me as their competition and to find out about my marketing strategy, products, and talent. I am saddened by this kind of energy. I felt like I was being treated like a threat and that notes were being taken on my ideas in business. I kept anything that wasn't online to myself once I noticed the notes were not on our interview but on my personal business profile and products which was not appropriate for the type of meeting it was. I could of gotten bent out of shape about this but I very sweetly and politely mentioned I would be aligning with other businesses in the same neighborhood after she called me competition and after the meeting ended I treated myself to some new jewlery to wear to the other job that I will be taking at their actual competition. Be careful who you treat like a competitor before they actually become one! Money can make some people really greedy. To be honest the only reason you should look into your neighbors bowl is to see if they have enough! Never to compare it to whats in your bowl or to try to take out of theres. Remember to keep a positive attitude even when faced with situations like this one. The universe is proud of us and will provide us with abundance. One bad meeting did not get in the way of me moving forward with the next step in my business plan... I have had a lot of stressful situations arise this week, and Although I have been emotionally handling it all well on the surface, tonight I can feel the physical affect it is having on my body as I feel like I am comming down with a cold (sweats, weird temp, sneezing, nausea, slight cough). Time to take a bath with one of my home made bath teas and after this its time to amp up all the immunity boosters in my arsenal! When I feel like this I find its important to listen to my body and treat it with compassion. Although mentally I want to finish my websites and list more product on etsy and work on projects and etc I feel my body begging me to slow down and recuperate! Remember to love yourself.
