History of Moonstone
Introduction
History of Moonstone, Moonstone has a rich history and abundant folklore, with its story beginning in ancient Rome, where it was believed to be formed from solidified beams of moonlight. The Romans also associated moonstone with the goddess of the moon, Diana, believing that the stone would bestow love, wisdom, and good fortune upon those who possessed it. In India and Europe, there was a belief that two people wearing moonstone on the full moon would fall passionately in love. Additionally, in India, it was believed that a moonstone had been set into the forehead of the moon god, Chandra, since the beginning of time. Moonstone also has a long history as a Travelers Stone, believed to protect travelers, especially at night and when the moon is shining. Ancient mariners also believed it would protect them when traveling over water. The gem has been associated with various mystical ties with the Moon, including its connection to meditation, love, fertility, protection, and sleep. Magicians would plan to use the stone according to the phases of the Moon, using it for spells of increase as the Moon waxed and for spells of decrease as it waned. In some cultures, moonstone was believed to increase a garden's yield and fertility if planted under the full moon. History of Moonstone Moonstone has been used in jewelry for millennia, including during the Art Nouveau period, where it became popular, and French goldsmith René Lalique and many others created a large quantity of jewelry using this stone. The gem's history also includes its association with the divine, as it is given as a customary wedding gift in some cultures, and it is believed to wash away the negative connotation of the number thirteen. One famous legend from Vedic history talks about the battle between Vishnu and Bali, the demon god, where the parts of Bali's body that fell on Earth turned into different jewels, with the sparkle in his eyes turning into what is now known as moonstone. Moonstone has captivated the hearts of many throughout history, and it has found its way into jewelry, becoming an iconic and important focal point, especially during the early 1900s. In summary, moonstone has a fascinating history, deeply rooted in ancient beliefs and folklore, and has been prized for its mystical associations with the Moon, love, protection, and fertility.

The Geology of Fire Agate Fire agate is a rare and beautiful gemstone that is found in certain areas of the world. It is a type of chalcedony, a cryptocrystalline form of quartz, and is characterized by its unique iridescent play of color. The gemstone is formed in the cavities of volcanic rocks, and its formation is a result of the combination of several geological processes. The formation of fire agate begins with the deposition of silica-rich solutions in the cavities of volcanic rocks. These solutions contain iron and manganese, which are responsible for the gemstone’s unique coloration. As the solutions cool, they form a thin layer of chalcedony on the walls of the cavity. Over time, this layer thickens and forms a nodule. The nodules are then subjected to a process known as “hydrothermal alteration”. This process involves the introduction of hot water and steam into the cavities, which causes the iron and manganese to be redistributed throughout the nodule. This redistribution of iron and manganese is what gives fire agate its unique iridescent play of color. The final step in the formation of fire agate is the deposition of a thin layer of silica on the surface of the nodule. This layer is responsible for the gemstone’s glossy finish and helps to protect it from damage. Fire agate is a rare and beautiful gemstone that is formed through a combination of geological processes. I started today! Today I started the @energymuse 21 Day Getting Unstuck Cord Cutting Ritual. Day 1 ritual done! This is HUGE for me! I actually followed through and started when I decided I would. . For the ritual we're only working with Selenite, but I have felt called to set up a crystal grid for Karmic Clearing and Ancestral Healing since I read through Judy Hall's new book The Crystal Companion a little while ago. I feel like this grid will support the cord cutting and healing I'm doing with the 21 day ritual with the Selenite. . I marked the 21 days out on my calendar to check off. Just realized my final day, day 21, is on the New Moon on June 13th. I didn't plan it that way, but that's how it worked out, which is SO cool!! . The grid is Stromatolite, Turitella Agate, Dumortierite, Shungite, Nuummite, Rainbow Obsidian, Kambamba Jasper, and Elestial Smoky Quartz, plus a Phantom Quartz Wand, all on a Petrified Wood slice. The Selenite I'm using for the ritual is below the grid. 😊 . #crystalbreakthrough #cordcutting #karmicclearing #ancestralhealing #newmoon #ritual . #sparklies #crystalgrid #crystalreiki #crystalhealing #crystallove #crystalsofig #rockhound . #reiki #reikihealing #energyhealing #energywork . #spoonie #chargie #chronicillness #spoonielife #CFS

The grid below is composed of Hematite, Shungite, and Clear Quartz for energetic protection. Hematite grounds, Shungite has protective properties and Clear Quartz amplifies the energy of the other crystals. Here is a link to #Reiki for Boundaries which may also assist with this intention, https://bit.ly/2YqFWfU (on Instagram link to video in bio under Community link) To use the energy from the photo/video, close your eyes, sit back and relax. I cannot even begin to count the number of times I have seen people just say "omg....just walk outside, it will be fine". Just STOP this madness. Mental Health is serious and real and if it could have been solved by "going outside", then we could have cured this long ago. Don't trust those who tell you stuff like this. While crystals, and energy work and past life trauma work really does work wonders in helping us heal, it's not the whole picture sometimes. This is meant to complement traditional medicine, which shouldn't be looked down on. Herbs and natural remedies are awesome and a blessing, I agree, but sometimes we need more and there is absolute no shame in it. Trust me that quartz will not fix internal bleeding, just like a walk outside will not "cure" your depression. If you feel you need someone to talk, get help. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. . . . #mentalhealthawareness #crystals #complementarymedicine #alternativemedicine #herbs #naturalremedies #yoga #newagememe #crystalreiki #stopthemadness #anxiety #newagememe #flextape #healing #metaphysical #mindfulness #wellness #chakra #healer #spirituality #mentalhealth #health #mentalillness #selflove #selfcare #mentalhealthmatters #recovery #healthy #happy #peace https://www.instagram.com/p/B1KRdaDHw8R/?igshid=1dgzq1g03x8kt
