It’s a French toast! Nope…it’s a waffle! Well no, really, it’s a magical combination of both. It’s vegan French toast waffles, made from crusty bread slices soaked up in coconut milk batter and cooked up in the waffle iron!

Finally tried out this new vegan spot in Copenhagen today. The pancakes were amazing and afterwards we headed to Nicecream for some more sweets 😋 Soooo much sugar but it was such a nice day and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend this Saturday ☀️
Left: Vegan pancakes with 🍎, coconut, 🍌,🍓, peanut butter, syrup, and 🍫sauce.
Right: Vegan vanilla coconut ice cream 🍪 sandwich.

I might get hate for this, and that’s okay.
I went vegan 10 months ago and at first it started off as a health endeavor. Instinctively, we know that fruits and vegetables are the best things to eat for optimal health. It turned into something so much bigger.
I just can’t keep quiet anymore. I will respect people’s dietary choices as I would respect their beliefs, but that does not necessarily mean I support them. And no, I do not support eating animal products.
I cannot believe how much fog clouded my mind and my eyes.
So please, truly sit down and ask yourself, “Why am I actually eating meat? Would I get down on both knees and suck on a cow’s udders to drink their milk? Would I go out and hunt and kill animals in order to eat? Would I thoroughly enjoy throwing a slab of bloody meat onto a grill, smelling it as it cooks before my eyes, thinking of the innocent living creature that looked me in the eyes as I put a knife into it for my taste buds?”
Does a slab of meat actually…taste…that good…?
So many of us talk about how much we love nature, the ocean, the beach, the trees, the forests…PLEASE watch Cowspiracy. The biggest detriment to earth today is animal agriculture.
I cannot keep quiet anymore. I can’t.
I’ve heard some pretty amazing examples, like the following, both from the book “Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs, and Wear Cows:”
1. It is pretty much guaranteed that if you put a chick and an apple onto a bed with a baby, every single time the baby would choose to put its mouth to the apple and just play with the chick. When did it change for us? Did we ever sit down and actually ask when we started to eat meat and why?
2. Imagine yourself around a table at a dinner party. The host serves you a huge stew. And you take your first bite. The meat in the stew melts in your mouth. You think it might be some tender pork, veal, or a great cut of steak…and you decide to ask the host, “Hey, what meat is in here?” The host responds, “Oh, just a few slabs of golden retriever!” Do you still eat it? Or does your stomach start to churn as you think of your pet golden at home? Why are chickens, pigs, cows, or ducks any different?
Think about it. Think about it. Read. Watch. Please.

Veganism changed my entire life. I will not miss out on the chance to try to spread the message to change yours too.

It was 14 (60) degrees out today, so lunch was eaten outside☀️ Also made it out for a 5km run in the forest🍃 When it's sunny in Denmark you gotta take advantage of it😄
