As a queer person I'm kind of disheartened that I'm seeing more and more people expecting me to just "accept" that someone doesn't support my existence. That it's okay to think me feeling a human emotion is sinful.

"You don't need to support just respect" is such bullshit to me, because in any other context people would realize how ridiculous it sounds. Would you excuse racism if people said "I don't support black people but I respect them"? Obviously not. That's ridiculous.

The entire argument of "it's okay if they don't support" implies we are making a choice. How do you not support the existence of another human being?

So why is it different for me and my queer siblings? Why are you not questioning the beliefs of a religion you chose to follow, and expect me to just be okay with you blindly following them?

It's even worse watching OTHER queer people tell them that shit is okay. "I'm a gay person and I agree!!" Like it's going to save them. It's never going to stop at just "respecting but not support," and we seriously need to stop accepting bigotry because people try and present it in a different way.
