What sort of plotting has been going on? -🐉

Mostly we've been plotting out how we're going to tackle certain arcs in this series, by drawing them out a little bit more, and giving them the depth that they deserve and also delving into certain characters. Just delving into their pros and cons, as well as what drives them as a character.

There were some things that I could really delve into since I was writing 100% of it back then and I'd get burnt out easily. But this way we can take our time, and give those moments the depth they deserve.

It begins!!!

Happy to announce that the first panels are done and will be uploaded in the evening of August 24th! We look forward to hearing your reactions and reading possible questions/comments!

For now, we are going with the flow on how long it takes to make the panels, so uploads may be random, but we know for sure that there will be at least one upload bi-weekly!

Short answer, yes.

Long answer, expect to see character redesigns soon (before the comic comes out), and the story will be similar but different in some areas.

UPCOMING UPDATE

Hello!!! Long time no see! thank you so much for sticking around. I know we hit an unplanned haitus, but boi... we have plans! so basically-

We will be doing a soft reboot of this series!

What this means: -Comic style! (we are going to redo the series in the form of a comic! So now you can see your favorite sides)

-Deeper story (while it’ll be relatively the same stories but in a comic format- we are gonna be diving deeper, be more detailed, longer character arcs and events!)

-Continuing the story (it’s not over yet! there will be a definitive ending to this bad boy- so once we are caught up expect new materials!)

-Interactive responses (even tho the story will be along the same lines you are all invited to continue to send in asks and help reveal more of the story and help us build onto the backstories!) When? sssoooo mods Sides and Kat are currently moving in together right now. We aren’t sure whether mod Dreamer would still be interested in continuing to work on this blog (it has been like two years... oops- we love you mod Dreamer!)  We’re giving a rough beginning date to mid- August to mid-September ROUGHLY.

Go Roman!

Standing before Logan’s door, Roman clutched the papers close to his chest as he sucked in a deep breath. It was either going to be now or never, and never wasn’t exactly an option for him. He wanted things to go back to how they were before, with Logan eating at the table with them fumbling as he read from his adorable flashcards, attempting to keep up with the modern slang that Virgil would lovingly spout out. He wanted the Logan who would simultaneously groan but also partake in the puns that had always made him and Patton close. He wanted that Logan, not the Logan who had decided that everything he had worked for was useless. He wanted….

He wanted their Logan.

Nevertheless, he stood there for a good minute as he mentally coached himself on what to say, even if Logan said nothing or ordered him to leave the words would be easy. All he needed to do was act them out and keep everything flowing perfectly. He could do perfect, his work was perfect, always perfect. Right?

Raising his hand up, his knocks thudded heavily on Logan’s blue wooden door, and for a while, there was nothing but silence to answer his beckoning call. At least until he heard the shuffling on the other side of the door, accompanied by the distinct sound of Logan’s bedside lamp clicking on. He’d woken him up, of all things to do when he was attempting to garner Logan’s favor. He had woken their hard working logical side up when he had been fast asleep.

Maybe if I just hurry and leave, he can go back to bed. He won’t be pleased to see me, he’ll be pissed, he’ll shout at me, he’ll order me to go away, and he’ll-

Every disjointed and messy thought that tumbled around in Roman’s head came to a sudden and rather abrupt halt as soon as the lock on Logan’s door clicked, and it swung inwardly open. Revealing the mess of curly hair that stuck up in just about every direction, those bleary eyes were hidden behind glasses that gradually started to slide down Logan’s nose, and…and Roman felt his mouth suddenly go dry. It was the sweater that Roman had created for Logan during Christmas. He still had it, not only keeping it around, but wearing it to bed. In all honesty, Roman had figured that Logan had tossed it into his drawer never to be seen or touched again. He had thought that Logan didn’t care about it, yet another mistake piling on top of so many more.

It took Logan a second to register the sight in front of him, and even more to realize that the sweaty nervous side in front of him, with dark sleepless circles under his eyes. Was not Virgil, but instead Roman. As the creative side shifted from foot to foot, before flashing him an awkward smile that was clearly only attempted to make himself feel better than anything.

Logan’s gaze sharpened and turned ten degrees cooler within seconds of laying his sights on Roman, and the creative side couldn’t help but to wince. Not forgiven then, at least not yet. “Why have you decided to wake me in the middle of the night Creativity? Unlike some people, I cannot spend my hours staying up doing useless frivolous things.” The logical side’s voice was as cold as a dagger crafted from the icy pits of the Arctic, and his expression remained so closed off that Roman honestly felt sure that he was looking back at a mask instead of Logan’s actual face. Either way, he still had to do this. Even if Logan ripped up his papers into little tiny pieces, he had to get across how sorry he was.

“I…” Roman cleared his throat as soon as it gave way and cracked, “I’m sorry…I’m sorry for how I acted before and after you returned. I’m sorry for everything, we have never really gotten along that much but even then. The way I treated your confession was horrible of me, so..so…”  Roman swallowed again as he shuffled the two slips of paper in his hands, his hands felt sweaty as he broke his eye contact with Logan. He wanted to tug at the collar of his shirt, as a flush started to sweep over his entire body. Eventually, he chomped on his tongue thrusting the papers forward into Logan’s waiting hands. “Is this good enough?!”

Once again silence answered him, as Logan pushed his glasses back up his nose his eyes narrowing for a moment as he scanned the beautiful curving letters of Roman’s personal handwriting.

Oh. OH….

In mere seconds, Roman watched with a varying degree of relief as Logan’s sharp piercing gaze softened to something only ever described in the most wistful of love poems. He didn’t even register the hitching of his own breath as soon as the tiny smile tugged at the corners of the logical side’s lips melting away the ice of his glare, or the way in which the sides of his eyes creased most beautifully breaking the stone cold visage of the mask that had just taken ahold of Logan’s face. 

He looked…beautiful.

Worked out out a way to apologise yet Roman? A good one?

The smooth rise and fall of Patton’s chest transfixed Roman longer than he would have liked to admit, the softness of the moral side’s face when he was asleep made the rumbling butterflies in Roman’s gut even more of a blessing to bear. His fingertips drifted over the smooth softness of Patton’s chest, traveling upwards as his fingers paused for just a moment as soon as the other side’s chest expanded allowing him to feel the life thrumming vibrantly just below the surface. Every part of his beloved moral side was so utterly wonderful and just astoundingly beautiful, he couldn’t help but to lean in. His lips drifting as softly as a feather over the other’s bare skin, skin that he had clung to just hours ago when pleasure had befuddled his mind.

“I’m going to make this right.” The whisper of a promise was left unheard by Patton, but that hardly mattered as soon as Roman crawled from the warm comfort of the bed. Summoning a simple set of clothes instead of his usual royal pompous wear, if he was going to talk to Logan then it was perhaps better if he did it without the guise of their titles blocking their train of thought.

Yes, he was going to fix all of this. They were going to be a family once again, and hopefully..hopefully, his idea would help mend things between him and Logan.

The pressure welling up in his chest was grating as he padded over to his desk, the two items that he had worked tirelessly on sat there among the discarded versions. The mess around his desk was spectacular, spectacular in the way that it was a complete and total mess. Not that messes were anything he wasn’t familiar with already, once again he’d fucked up so badly that he needed to create a personalized apology.

Only this time, as he sank down, standing before Logan’s star plastered door. He wasn’t so sure that Logan would forgive him, and he had no idea why the very notion of that thought scared him so much.
