merlin fandom pls help

I am looking for a fanfiction read a few months ago on ao3. I can remember that it was set in the 21st century and Merlin was still waiting for Arthur and wrote him letters. Something like 'you always liked to sleep in, lazy daisy, hope you get your rest' and stuff. Really poetic. Really angsty. It was good and I can't find it anymore so if someone knows the name I would be forever grateful.

Ok but why is no one taking about this perfect book series?

Frey and McGray, two very sexy and definitely (absolutely not) heterosexual inspectors from the late 1900s. These books have my whole heart, the vibe is this perfect balance between 'makes me want to be there' and 'makes me really uncomfortable'. It's similar to the Sherlock Holmes books, only funnier and a little differently written. I'm only just finished with book two but this has seven books, please read this.

This would so be the perfect fandom for fanart, silly little fics and tumblr communities. Guys, we have to make this big, it's too good to let it be pushed aside by boring book too books that are all the same anyways
