Transformation story:- . ( She weighed 120.3kgs / 265.21lbs, on 9th/February/2018 ) . She was on High Carbohydrates diet before. Why counting calories doesn't matters in 'High Fat diet' ? Reason behind it is that, this diet is already less in calories by itself.. How? Because 70% of calories I'll be will be coming from fats due to which Leptin hormone will make you feel full/satiety and will stop you from overeating. . Now what actually matters is from where that calories are coming from ! If they are coming excessively from Carbohydrates, some would be used as energy and remaining will spike the Insulin which will store them as Triglycerides in Adipocytes (Fat tissues) as Body fats, with the help of an enzyme called lipoprotein lipase. And if those calories are coming from Fats (more) & Protein (moderate), then our body will use them as Energy fuels and in other bodily functions. . Also if a person who has a well formulated Ketogenic/High Fat diet plan, counts total calorie coming out of Fat, Protein and Carbohydrates, he/she will find that it is around normal range and not too high. . .Some get misleaded or demotivated by their close friends or family member or their doctors that doing such kind of diets is bad bad for your health and all. (Just ask them that have they studied, experienced, or have any Scitific evidence that this diet is bad for health?) . For the sake of giving it a try some just follow this Dietary pattern, for few weeks only or a month. (Every individual has a different body type, weight, and metabolism, some loses fast some slow .) . Some thinks that they will not have enough variety of recipes and sources of foods in this dietary patterns. (YouTube or Google them, many books are also available ), . Some just wants to follow their Fitness Guru's or fitness models dietary guidelines or eating patterns and this is why if they say that this diet is useless some people agrees so. (Without experience how can we make such assumptions), . Some lacks patiences, this is the important part of any dietary regiment (Atleast do it for 3-4 months This diet is no miracle that you lose 10lbs overnight). . Some are afraid or worried that they have to follow this dietary patterns for life long. (IT'S your call simple, if your health issues are getting well and experiencing many health benefits then why don't we follow it for life long ), . 1) People don't follow the actual protocol of High Fat, moderate Protein and very low carbohydrate diet, 2) Low intake of menirals like sodium, potassium & magnesium, 3) Low intake of Water, 4) Some don't measure their macros mainly the Fat & Protein ratios, 5) Some rely on Keto-sticks, which shows good result at the time of adapting period only and once a person is fully adapted, it shows negative feedback. 6) Some lacks the willpower to bring changes in themselves, 7) Some can't resist from eating sweet and carbs, 8) Some thinks, it's the only preferred source of energy without it they would die, 9) Some just binge too often on carbs, 10) Some after achieving their targeted body weight/shape, start there old eating habits, 11) Some has excuses of time issues or budget issues, that they don't have time to eat or spent on this kind of eating habits. Eggs with butter, protein shake with added coconut or MCT oil, take only 3-5 minutes max and talking about budget issues, spent less on alcohol, cigarettes, pizza, burgers, french fries, etc. There will be no budget issues. The Maasai people of East Africa live in southern Kenya and northern Tanzania along the Great Rift Valley lands. This group of peoples till date haven't been diagnosed with, high blood sugar, High blood pressure, insulin resistance, type 1 or 2 diabetes, cancer, hypertension, kidney or liver disease, etc. Traditionally, the Maasai diet consisted of raw meat, raw milk, and raw blood from cattle, buttermilk, Butter ( mostly Fats & 1st class Protein), as we can see there are no Grains, Sugars, Starchy vegetables, Sweet Fruits, Burgers, Pizza, Macaroni, Beagle, sweet dessert, etc. in their diets. In the summer of 1935 Dr. Weston A. Price visited the Maasai and reported that according to Dr. Anderson from the local government hospital in Kenya most tribes were disease-free. Many had not a single tooth attacked by dental caries nor a single malformed dental arch. He attributed that to their diet consisting of (in order of volume) raw milk, raw blood, raw meat and some vegetables and fruits, although in many villages they do not eat any fruit or vegetables at all. He noted that when available every growing child and every pregnant or lactating woman would receive a daily ration of raw blood. Butter is also an important infant food." Most of the milk is consumed as fermented milk or buttermilk or curd (which converts lactose(one of a form of Sugar) into Lactic acid). Electrocardiogram tests applied to 400 young adult male Maasai found no evidence of heart disease, abnormalities or malfunction. These findings were ascribed to the amazing fitness of morans, which was evaluated as "Olympic standard". From above mentioned evidence we can understand that what is going wrong with most of our diets (which mostly consists of Carbohydrate & Sugars), who is main culprits behind, whatever metabolic disease & illness most of the people suffering from.
