We’re in the middle of a heat wave and a thunderstorm cropped up. i like opening up the bedroom window and sticking my head out when it rains.
Tonight I noticed the flickering of tvs in all the neighbors’ windows. Every single one I could see from the 2nd floor. Then lightning flashed, made the clouds flicker, too.
*insert sad philosophical comparison in an attempt to be inspirational here*

I ordered a pack of glass filters (the daisy shaped ones) and the ad boasted that they’d come in a nice “stash jar”.
It’s more like a pee sample cup. Pothead brands are funny.

I wanted to type out something I was thinking about all day, and I sat up to turn on the light and grab my iPad and then it was all gone.

A lot of 80s heavy metal was against corporate greed and government control. How the fuck did we get Trump as president?? He’s literally the poster boy of the greed and corruption in the 80s.
GenX lived through the 80s metal scene and now we’re supposed to be the “adults in charge”. How the hell did we drop this ball??? 🤦🏻‍♀️ We are Generation Sellout.

Do people not realize we have morons on Twitter who can literally launch the next world war with a tweet? MULTIPLE morons?
These are grown-ass adults acting like children, who happen to have direct access to near-annihilation level causing weapons.
Does this not bother anyone?

Greta Thunberg
My first real post 🙂
Tumblr media
Why do grown ass people dislike Greta Thunberg so much? Let’s forgo the climate change argument. Someone tell me why it’s ok to let the WORST polluters (big business, governments, military, not people who want to use straws) dump their waste wherever they want? Why is asking the very people who can afford to make things immediately cleaner and safer such a bad thing? Why is giving giant corporations tax benefits to continue polluting the environment better than taxing them to clean up the mess they make? Shouldn’t that be reversed? Giving tax breaks to environmentally conscious companies who spend more to ensure they reduce their environmental damage doesn’t make sense?
Nobody has been able to answer this. I get a lot of misplaced/projected blame, though. One mental giant said Thunberg is a puppet of the New Green Deal Party. Said they didn’t want taxes to be raised. Said it’s all propaganda and actually compared it to the type of propaganda that gets people killed by evil governments. They were the type of people who liked to call people “libtards”, because that’s what they called me for questioning their sense of morality. I have screenshots, by the way. I’m expecting them to block me or delete their shitty comments, so I take screenshots for posterity. 😁
They admitted that it’s wrong that governments and businesses are doing much of the polluting, though, and that’s inherently wrong. They admitted that the worst polluters should be held accountable. They couldn’t tell me how Thunberg isn’t doing the same exact thing. They kept going back to “she’s a puppet of the NGD agenda”. They even condescendingly helpfully posted the Wikipedia page defining “propaganda”. But they couldn’t explain why they didn’t support the part of the “agenda” that says “polluting is bad, let’s tax the worst polluters so we can fix their fuck ups”. They didn’t want taxes raised, even though their taxes probably wouldn’t be touched, unless they own some major company who actually would have to pay those higher taxes (which I highly doubt they do).
I do not back the NGD, I am a Libertarian. I agree that governments and big industries are the worst polluters. I know that technology now exists that could really help the pollution problem. I also know that nobody who can actually afford to adopt those technologies are willing to pay for them. The Keystone Pipeline is leaking in North Dakota. Do you really think they went with bidder who could provide the best, safest, hence most expensive, construction? Do you really think they went with a moderately priced bidder who could provide SOME of those things? Do you really think so?
And, if the pipeline is so great, why do they not want it to run along their properties? Instead, they ran it through the lands of the poorest people in this country, who can’t afford to clean up someone else’s mistakes, the Native Americans. After they did this, no less:
I kept asking them to explain why they were pro-pollution. I kept asking them to explain why pollution is ok. I kept asking them to tell me why a 16-year old girl with Asperger’s was such a threat. I asked them why is environmentalism wrong? They just told me to “quit trying to distort what im[sic] saying” despite not saying anything useful, much less factual. Apparently some world-wide NGD Party conspiracy is “exploiting” this girl by blackmailing us by using emotional lies. 👀
I told them to just admit they have no thoughts of their own and that they won’t give an answer because they can’t deal with the morality of their answer. They tried to turn the table by saying *I* haven’t answered THEIR questions, of which thye never asked any. I spouted pretty much the same thing they kept saying, which was the same thing Thunberg was saying, (tax the companies and demand that the government keep the environment clean), but it didn’t compute for some reason.
Someone please explain to me why wanting clean air, land, and water is wrong? Someone please explain why just asking the richest people on the planet to be conscious of their environmental impact is so bad?
Let’s just say Thunberg IS a “puppet” of some global environmentalist/greedy politician conspiracy like they claimed, since I’m already willing to not bring up climate change. Does that really negate the problem of pollution to where we shouldn’t do anything about it and trash talk a kid? Or is it really because certain conservative people don’t like being they are morally wrong? Or is it because rich people don’t care about anything but their bottom line? Is it ok to assume someone else’s “agenda” but not yours?
This is what I think is my best takeaway was from this conversation🤣
Tumblr media
Keep sucking that late stage capitalist teat. It comes in orange now.
Some of y’all never listened to 80s/90s metal and it shows 🤣🤣🤣

Howdy
I think of weird stuff when I’m high. I’m probably going to piss people off, but I promise to be as brutally honest and truthful as I can. I probably won’t post trigger warnings, because I’ll probably be stoned every time I post and it’ll be a race against time before I forget or get too tired/pained to continue.
I was your average obnoxiously overachieving Asian student, but had a traumatic brain injury that took 6 years to diagnose, as well as multiple spine injuries that will only get worse as I age. I began psychiatric treatment to combat the resulting depression and anxiety, and my life hasn’t been the same. After years on opioids, being jerked around by my car insurance company, and a bout of uterine lining cancer, I finally got enough money to get on the MMP in my super expensive state, arguably one the worst programs in the US. I receive Social Security benefits because I can’t work any more, and it’s less than half of what my income used to be. One way or another, I don’t plan to remain this way for too long.
I’m also a self-hating traditional Libertarian feminist. I swear we are not as crazy as the men. We are more rational and realistic than they are, and are just as sick of most of them as you probably are.
I made this blog because I want to leave something behind that might help (or at least entertain) someone, somewhere, since I’m otherwise “useless to society” (can’t work, can’t bear children). I’ve gone through a lot of shit since I was a kid. I want to document what I’ve become, from a pothead point of view. Writing what I think will also be a therapy tool for myself. I have several lifetimes worth of things to work through and get over.
I’m also peri-menopausal, so please don’t mess with me. I’m angry enough as it is.
