Introduction to Cloud Computing
June 2021
IBM
Takeaways: I'm really glad I took this course. It provides a broad perspective of where computing is today.
Many, many businesses are moving to cloud — it's almost impossible to avoid cloud computing.
Changing to cloud has also changed how businesses approach computing: rather than Agile, they're using DevOps; rather than service-oriented architecture, they're using Microservices; rather than Virtual Machines, they're using Cloud.

The Art of Negotiation
June 2021
University of California, Irvine - Division of Continuing Education
Takeaway: The modern approach to negotiation is that both sides work towards maximizing value for both parties, rather than a win-lose outcome. This is because it's recognized that taking a value maximizing approach will increase the possibility of doing business again in the future. Taking a hard-line, win-lose approach has short-term benefits, but not for the long-term because the other party will be less likely to want to do business again.

University: University of California, Irvine - Division of Continuing Education
One thing I liked about this course is that it spends a decent amount of time on dealing with difficult people. Even the best plans can go bad when there's interpersonal conflict. The course provides a Seven Step Feedback model for working with a difficult person.

Basic Skills in Constructive Communication
Completed: 2021, April
University: Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University
The best lesson from this course is to Ask Clarifying Questions, anytime there could possibly be more than one way to interpret a statement or question. I put a little note on my monitor as a reminder.
It sounds like asking someone to explain themselves repeatedly would be annoying, which I initially thought. However, misunderstandings are easy to make and asking another person to explain their thoughts is a way of showing interest.

Highly recommend this 4-week course, which I completed in November 2020. The instructor is a behavioral scientist at the University of Michigan. He unexpectedly lost of his daughter, and that led him on a path to learn more about the importance and benefits of a life with purpose. He used that life experience and his research as a motivation for the course.
There are a few exercises focused on identifying your personal values and, importantly, connecting them to specific actions.
You should be able to go through the whole course without paying anything, (unless you want a certificate to share).
