I have been starring at screens almost non-stop for the last several weeks. Building and launching my Enneagram website (@consciousenneagram), catching up on Yoga Therapy homework, and writing curriculum that I’ll be teaching during our next Yoga Therapy training weekend. •• I feel so honored to be able to be able to share this information as it’s obviously very dear to my heart. It’s been quite a challenge to write in this way, but I’m finding how much I love it. I’ve been embracing art as self care for the last couple months or so in different forms and I have to say, it’s really wonderful. I’ve even been able to use some of it on my Enneagram page: @consciousenneagram. •• Being afraid of not being good enough has often kept me from embracing art the way I did as a child. I’m happy to feel that shifting, even if it’s slow (cause I can totally feel myself wanting to tell you I’m not an artist and I know this isn’t perfect and I can do it better, etc, etc, etc). •• Fear is talked about a lot in the yoga sutras as both one of the roots of our suffering and as one of the biggest obstacles in our path. Some people think once we reach some perfect yogic state we won’t be afraid anymore, I call bullshit. Yoga doesn’t free us completely from our fears, but it DOES put us back in the driver’s seat. When we’re grounded and centered, we get to choose how we respond to our fears. •• What’s something you’ve been wanting to do but haven’t? What’s holding you back? Hey friendos! I started a new insta to post more specifically about Enneagram and podcast stuff. Would you be a dear and go give it a follow? #Repost @consciousenneagram with @get_repost ・・・ Alright, let’s start off with an introduction, what do you say?! • My name is Abi Robins. I’m a yoga teacher and yoga therapist who lives in Austin, Tx. I’m queer and nonbinary (they/them, please and thank you!) and have a beautiful family made up of my partner (tarot reader extraordinaire, @oakmoontarot) our two daughters, and more animals than I can usually keep track of. You can tell by the photos I also love to laugh (and look like a goof doing it). • I’m also an Enneagram teacher trained in the Narrative Tradition (@enneaworld). And really, that’s what this insta is about. The Enneagram has changed my life and I want to help other people not only learn their types, but learn how to work with them in order to transform their lives. So, it’s been a bit since I’ve introduced myself on here, and with all the new follows lately, I figured I should let y’all know who I am. I’m Abi. I live in Austin, Tx. I’m a queer nonbinary person (they/them). I’m a contemplative Christian and lead with type 8 on the Enneagram. I am a yoga therapist intern and an Enneagram teacher soon to be certified in The Narrative Enneagram. This is a picture of me doing what I love: teaching yogis how to use the enneagram and ennea-enthusiast how to use yoga, it’s really the best. I’m partnered to a gorgeous woman who just so happens to be an incredibly gifted tarot reader (@oakmoontarot) and we have two smart, sassy, lovable daughters. I also have a dog named #ziggythepittie and she’s my animal familiar. She hold’s a piece of my soul I didn’t know existed until she came into my life.
