Though Perdita is not in the main story of Blood of the Forest, she is an important key character in the life of a character who is in Blood of the Forest: Kavon.

Perdita is Kavon's younger sister. She serves as the royal messenger for the Ravens. As a Raven, she has the ability to shift between her human and bird form.

While not being physically strong, Perdita is very clever in her writings, able to illustate worlds with words. She's also a hopeless romantic, so playful, unsent love letters are her favorite to write.

Perdita was tragically killed on one of her missions to deliver a letter to another territory, causing a stir among the Ravens. Is what's outside really safe?

Reseda is only 16 years old, yet is already a healer for the Fawn people in the second layer of the forest.

Reseda is a very shy and anxious person, but she doesn't let that stand in the way of her job. She can't afford it.

Part of her hates being a healer; she can't stand their eyes when they finally exhale... but, she does love feeling useful, so she continues on anyways...

Saira is the protagonist of my story The Blood of the Forest. She's a traveler, and, more importantly, the keeper of thr stone, the Blood of the Forest.

Saira knows her mission. She knows she has to get into the forest and return the stone. No matter what it takes. She'd happily do it on her own, if it wasn’t for the fact that no one who has gone into the forest has survived, or lived long enough to call it survival.

She's a very self motivated person, but with that she can also be very distrusting to people she meets, and is very secretive, which can make her seem standoffish. Not that she minds too much. Though, she can be very caring and gentle to those she’s close too. She doesn’t consider many her close friends.

She wouldn't call herself lonely. Yes, she's alone, but she has to live with that if she wants to accomplish her goals.

"Why is everyone always questioning me? I know what I'm doing, and if they didn’t want to stay in the dark, they shouldn’t have joined me."
