Ok. I have had ENOUGH.

I have tried to stay out of the ship wars and fandom discourse but I can’t anymore. I cannot stay silent.

Not when I’m seeing this on my Twitter feed:

It is HOMOPHOBIC and UNACCEPTABLE to write a handwritten list of all the ways you want a gay character to suffer, including a gruesome saw trap AND self deletion. And then post it.

If you have been on the sidelines trying to just enjoy the show, as I have tried, this is your sign to start calling out this behavior and fighting back.

We can’t let this stand. We have to put our money where our mouth is and stand up for queer representation and queer people, especially with pride just around the corner.

i've seen people twist the lyrics of the song playing during the dinner scene (come home - fell runner) to make it about eddie

the lyrics are basically "i'm thinking of you, I miss you, I wish you were here, come home and be with your man" and yet somehow it's become 'why does buck miss tommy if they're having dinner together hm??? explain that. he's gotta be thinking of eddie'

Tbh the problem with ship wars is that everyone tries to find a moral high ground to prove their ship is superior when actually shipping should be about making two characters kiss like a kid playing with barbie dolls

today i learned about a radiodust shipper who was bullied by huskerdust shippers into committing. I can't even express my horror when I learned about this

To everyone who has ever participated in a ship war, does it really matter? does it really? does it really matter if angel gets wirh alastor or with husk or with someone else? i hate how toxic this fandom is, especially regarding ship wars. your ship does NOT matter more then someone's wellbeing. even as a radiodust shipper, i could not GAF if radiodust or huskerdust or whatever ship becomes canon, bullying is never okay.

Charlastor isnt morally fucked up (other than Alastor obviously hoping to gain something) (which btw is interesting to explore in general). Let people do as they wish.

And before anyone dares to come here and mention episode 5, Alastor tricked you so fucking good if you genuinely believe he sees her as his daughter. He sees potential in her power, nothing else. And fanon can change anything, so even if he did mean it, people are 100% allowed to delete that episode from their brain or view it as they wish.

And people going "But Charlie is in a loving relationship with Vaggie!" Yeah okay, LUCIFER STILL HAS HIS DAMN WEDDING RING! But yall don't want to discuss that, do ya.

Tldr: I ship radioapple and dont mind charlastor's existence. A close friend of mine, literally a bestie if you will, has shipped Charlastor since the pilot and the fandom's lack of media literacy had us tiptoe around each other for a while.

Anyways, it's just a show about the BIBLE.

I try to keep myself out of the ship wars but I just saw Kataang shippers use the scene of Katara and Zuko scooting away from each other in embarrassment in the Ember Island Players episode as a reason they obviously don’t have feelings for each other/wouldn’t work. And I think that’s hilarious for two reasons:

1. They’re using a plot device (I’m not sure what else you’d call it) that is commonly used to show characters do have/are developing feelings for each other as “evidence” that there aren’t any feelings

2. Both groups read that scene in completely different ways and use it as “evidence” for their ships
