GREATEST SONG OF ALL TIME?????
youtube
This is my favorite song of all music industry, from my favorite artist, "Five little monkeys jumping on the bed rap" by Father and daughter.
This song speaks volumes as to the social issues of not only the past, but the present AND future, it's practically a timeless masterpiece. It tells us about mob mentality, intentional ignorance, repetition compulsion and people being taken advantage of.
Not only that, these issues are being tackled appropriately by the music and ordinary people just in it for the song may not get the innuendos until they understand the lyrics.
Additionally, the music composed in the song is nicely made, so much so that it had pioneered numerous musical techniques and it is surely a piece ahead of its time.
Just Kidding, that's not the song I chose (though that still was a bop)
youtube
This is Simpleng Tao by GLOC 9. One of my, if not most, favorite song that reached my ear.
It is a Filipino hip-hop song, with acoustic guitar as its leading instrument, and what I like about this song is its overall vibe and its lyrics. The song is upbeat and the lyrics are rhymical, and the meaning the song is quite touchy.
It's not as dark as depression nor about heartbreaks, but it's about a simple guy with nothing much to offer but his love, that even though he's not rich, his love is genuine.
