this is my formal goodbye to my followers and to the aot community in general

i've been in the community for years, going on maybe 6-7 years now (i think lol) and i'm leaving now because of the simple fact that i've grown out of this, not because of anything personal. the happiness that i once had for this fandom is disappearing (to be fair, i mentally checked out months ago but i wanted to keep this account running for the people that were following me)

since i've mentally moved on and planned my "physical" exit from this fandom i found other things that interest me and those fandoms have my full attention and energy

i don't wanna tap to much in this post and make it too long😭 but i just wanted to say thank you for following me, for liking my post, for liking my writing, thank you for just sticking along with me

i won't be deleting my account, it'll be open for anyone to see my posts but from here on out i will no longer be posting<33

Attack On Titan Chapter 137 Zeke is one of my favourite characters I feel like his whole character development is extremely overlooked. He spent so long feeling awful and depressed. He had so much shame in himself, that he wished he had never existed. Ofc he isn't perfect, but he wasn't the problem of all things he thought he was. If only he had looked around at what he had sooner. If only he was kinder to himself. I relate to him alot. I had my baseball, I had my leaf. Right in front of me and I didn't acknowledge it. Is it asking for too much now. After all the mistakes I've made, the people I've hurt. And most of all the damage I've done to myself. Is it asking for too much to enjoy what I can hold onto now.

i believe Dina was taught to be an obedient submissive wife, willing to do anything as long as it was for the betterment of the Eldian Empire

but i do think when she and Grisha placed 6 year old Zeke into the warrior program, she hid her true feelings that she did not want to do that. she would go into Zeke's room assuming he was asleep and cry, begging for his forgiveness. trying to imagine a world where he was an infant again, so she could easily grab him and run away.

can we please have a Drabble about Zeke being studded out by Marley to make a new generation of Warrior candidates ? You and I both know it would eat.

they looked so happy, hanging posters of his face on every corner. where children, big and small came to hope and stare. "warriors! the pillars of marley, the great shifter soldiers!" they often said. but it was all fake, marley didn't give two shits about their warriors, the soldiers they seemed to glorify so much. zeke's stomach stirred after every mission, bags of sleep grew darker from underneath his eyes as they worked him tirelessly, order after order barked at him like a dog.

"look at that…" pieck pointed, her attention focused on the children below the balcony, playing at being shifters. bittersweet, it was. "they have no idea," she added. zeke shook his head, smoke from his cigarette curling as it released from his mouth. "and it's me they're mimicking." he said solemnly, staring at one child in particular with the glasses so similar to his own.

"new generation of warriors they say." pieck sighed.

people forget that zeke's hatred for his father not only stems from the abuse he endured from that man, but the effect that man's decisions and sins have had on his surviving family. aka zeke's grandparents

much like a dog; a muzzle was thrown over my face, forcing my jaw shut yet i bite my tongue and decide not to bark. not like i could anyway, my throat felt raw and ragged, tears pricked the corners of my eyes but i dared not cry.

not now, not here. their eyes are all over me, a dog i am. one to do tricks and perform for their hungry eyes but sometimes even a dog gets tired of being kicked.

"hold him still," one urged, voice muffled by my own hazy senses. "we've been over this thousands of times. don't try to resist, it'll only make it worse." he advised as a needle pricked my skin.

then did my vision blur…perhaps this dog was finally being put down.

sometimes I think about how Zeke probably would not have told his grandparents what he was being put through as a warrior to not burden them.

they had already lost both of their children at the hands of the Marleyan Government, Zeke probably thought anything that he was going through was only a fraction of that and not worth his grandparent's worry

I can't get over how young Zeke is compared to say Levi or Erwin? (or even compared to Miche or Moblit) he comes off as way older, probably partially because of the beard but still, when he's introduced he's literally only 25
