Aaaaand... this is my contribution to the (almost nonexistent) fandom! Yay for Goblin Slayer!

I really LOVE those two (possibly together, possibly with Cow Girl dead), they’re like my new obsession, and I spent waaaay too much time on... this.

I colored his hairs white because in the first colored pages chapter they seemed white XD aaand I like to think about him being not the usual teen protagonist, but with a little more “mature” face, with some beard etc... he’s cute anyways.

Fun fact(?): I like to call him Slate (’cos... Slayer, you know... Slate) and her Prie (yeah, super original... but I’ve read somewhere that there’s a prayer that is called like that or something)

Lol I centaur-ized(?) my horse Ramses XD (Inspired from @hubedihubbe beautiful centaurs obv :3 especially Fernando, since he’s and Andalusian as my horse is)

Ramses is a super anxious horse, like he actually scares himself to death. But he is capable of rational thinking so in a few seconds he calms down… after a good jump anyway XD He’s a gelding, so he’s ok with every other horse around him. You can’t touch his ears. You just… can’t. Also, he’s pretty scared of the farrier, especially for his hind legs, since he was abused a lot when he was a foal, before his 4 years when I got him. Rames loves to rear and buck and “attack” dogs for fun, but when ridden he’s super serious about his work. He’s fast and loves to run (also he’s super competitive when it comes to gallop with others).

Needless to say, he’s super sweet with me even if diffident with other humans (besides our trainer) ^^ He likes male horses better than females XD

Also I can’t color so… here’s his hair (sort of)

Unpopular(?) opinion

(uh yeah, let’s make it clear: don’t reply to me in any way or message me or anything, I’m not interested in exchanging opinions about this topic but really only in writing this down to expose another -of many, I think- “points of view”, because I saw the majority either hating on him or defending him in the “wrong” way, and very few just telling their personal experience in soft tones)

I actually love Rick Gore.

Even if I do not ride my horse without a bit and I shoe him once every two months and I’m more “old school” and against a lot of “horsemanship methods”. I’m a woman and I never feel offended by what he says, I just get a really good laugh because I like his voice and passion when he talks (and when he gets angry it shows how much he cares).

I love him not because of what he says about people, or about bits, or about pink… I love him because he explains horses behavior and it’s really helping me out with my colt. Because he’s so direct and doesn’t lose time licking people butts in order to be appreciated.

He’s just like that. Love him or hate him, I guess XD

(yup, I’m perfectly aware that if by any chance I’ll end up talking with him, he would hate me for sure and call me “stupid” and everything. But I still like him, there’s no helping it :3)

So I had this idea for a long time, and I think I’ll draw something now.

I want to tell a story, and it will be long. And pardon my english as it’s not my mother tongue.

This horse is a young Cartujan PRE (Pura Raza Española, also called Andalusian) gelding, born in April the 15th 2010, he’s nearly six y.o. as today. His name is Ramses, Ramses NG (NG as Nicolas Garcia, his breeder). He’s my very first horse, the first horse that I can say it’s totally mine even if I come from years of experience.

He came in Italy from Barcellona as a stallion, and ended up in the hands of this seller (from who I bought him) who gelded him because apparently he was “too hot”. The results? An even more scared and agitated colt.

He was in fact totally green, never had a saddle on his back and was beaten really bad (he was terrorized of the whip, of touching his muzzle and ears, and you couldn’t even watch his legs that he would have jumped forward in fear).

This was the first time I met him, a year ago, and as I discovered later this was even the first time for him having a person on his back. Funny, huh?

BUT this is also a demonstration of the endless kindness of this animal, even after what people did to him. He feels in fact sure when he has me on his back, because no one had hurt him that way, but when you handle him “from ground” he has still insecurities.

Things didn’t go as planned when I bought Ramses (the person that had promised me a place to keep him a month before, changed his mind as soon as the trailer arrived) and I had to keep him in a “stable” (I refuse to believe that they let that person run a business treating his animals like that) for a week where he almost lost half of his weight (and he was already pretty skinny).

Then I found my actual stable, and the ^photo was taken shortly after the transfer (again, even that was pretty turbulent: I couldn’t let the owner of the previous “stable” know where I brought the horse -around here they can be pretty… vindictive- so I practically walked with him for more than 6km following the river to meet with the owners of the new stable).

Here, the older son of the owner (they are two brothers and the father who run the business of their uncle, and they breed and train Quarter Horse for reining by 40 years) trained him.

I’m really grateful to him because he has a splendid method with horses, and he had the patience and kindness to make Ramses believe in people again.

He gained weight as well as trust and happiness, and in one month from a colt that had never known the saddle he became a perfectly outdoor-ridable horse (the trainer managed even to win Ramses fears of cars etc… in just one month on a super-anxious and scared horse!)

Sadly, I had soon to “drop” training him more by myself when after another month he was ready for me, because his teeth were overgrown and the bit hurt him whenever I tried to flex him (to avoid every misunderstanding: I come from 10 years of dressage with difficult horses, so I know what has to be known).

But again he surprised me: Ramses brought me everywhere during the summer, even in water, always serious and never hurt me (of course there were difficult moments, but he maintained his head in place and thought without panicking. As the trainer told me, he is a horse that think and even if he gets scared, he recompose himself in no time, doing his best to not discharge you into the ground)

His mane grows longer and longer as time passes, and he’s graying more and more! Soon he’ll became white (he was buckskin, so I can’t complain haha).

He grew a lot in this year, and hopefully we’ll grow together for still many years from now (I ride in an aussie saddle but in english style, not western).

He gained trust in me, and we are working on his trust in other people :) because I plan to bring him with me to XIII c. reenactments, he needs to gain self-confidence.

As the day of today, he’s a beautiful big boy, still learning and growing (he’s also a skilled fugitive! He can open his box and paddock doors, for the other 40 and more horses of the stable too. He causes, needless to say, a lot of troubles).

I have more photos and videos of him (and my other animals too), so if I see that people get interested into him, I will start to post things of Ramses & co. :) For now… here we go!

Uh, yeah, of course ^w^2. favorite ship?-KawoShin obv (I don’t dislike AsukaXKaworu DONTASKWHY it’s somewhat intriguing Lol), pretty much because Kaworu (especially in 3.0, the other Kaworu are more like “meh”) is all like “gonna repeat this over and over just for Shinji, and I just don’t care if it ends the exact fucking way every time, as long as I can be with him”. Or something like that. I don’t want to be too long in explanation or I’ll talk for YEARS about Eva.
