I already posted the wig tutorial so I can show my whole costume as well <3  Flame Princess from Adventure Time in a Magical Girl Design!  It was hell to not fuck up the bodypaint tho, because it was such a cheap product...but I have a new (and better) one already here for next time <3 The design is by @mayakern

And another wig tutorial! This time for the amazing Flame Princess <3
Again, you can easily wathc the parts here or on my facebook-page: https://www.facebook.com/pg/YuzelCosplay/photos/?tab=album&album_id=662313303949922 More under the cut <3
1) First off: what do we need? -a wig (obvs) in a color you want! Mine is ...dark orange? kind-off, yeah...and it really really helps if the wig is curly! Just saying :) -hairclips or bobbypins -a comb/haibrush (you don't need the wig to be smooth but it looks nicer IMHO) -needle and thread -some fabric (best if it matches the color of your wig) -tulle, but that is optional -scissors -hot glue gun -(very strong) hair spray -cotton
Tumblr media
2)  Let's begin! Clip the hair you don't want to be on the top out of the way.
Tumblr media
3)  Now, you take your fabric and make a little hat (I'm so not kidding, look at this) The sides of mine were approx. 25cm x 15cm long.
Tumblr media
4)  You put it on the wig, so that the front (of the hat) is on the middle of the wig. You sew that on. Fill it with cotton so it's fully stuffed out! After that you take the back (of the hat) and sew it on the wig as well...and be careful that it stays in the middle path.
Tumblr media
5)  Now you part the wig in 4 sections (without the parts that we clipped away in 2). The ones in the front will be the first we wrap around the hat and glue it on! But not fully, only that they kinda hang on the other side. And make sure that the hair is not too strained.
Tumblr media
6) The same goes with the sections in the back. Wrap it around and glue it on, but only so that the hair lays across the head.
Tumblr media
7)  [Optional] While we wait for the glue to cool down, we take some hair from the back and cut it short, so it covers up our hair under the wig.
Tumblr media
8)  Now you just take the front sections, wrap it around the rest of the hat and glue it on. After that, the same with the back sections.
Tumblr media
9)  [Optional] You can now glue on some tulle to make it look more fire-y (at least...this is the effect I hope for)
Tumblr media
10)  Now you just cut the hair on the front and the bangs if you want to, or just part the wig. Fin!

After years have passed I’ve decided that I’ll just post this wig tutorial here on tumblr, since it’s been half a year I’ve done this <3 More under the cut ! Or you can just go here: https://www.facebook.com/pg/YuzelCosplay/photos/?tab=album&album_id=578593042321949
What you need is: 2-3 Wigs (or like one wig and a lot of wefts), wire, a comb, scissors, expanding foam, wighead (styrofoam), hot glue gun, thread and needle, (flat)iron, bobby pins, hair clips and lots of hair ties, time and patience
1)  You take apart a whole wig or take your wefts and sew together 2-3 layers of them (my wig was pretty thin so I had to use 3 of them)
Tumblr media
2)  Now you take your wefts and sew them onto the middle of your wig from bottom to the top on both sides but like in the false direction so we can bend them to the right direction (so on the picture this is the right side of the wig, but you sew on the wefts facing the left side, later you use your iron and the wefts will be on the right side)
Tumblr media
3)  Now you use your iron to bend your wefts like this. It's like a miracle, but be careful not to heat it up too much! We don't want you to melt your wig ;)
Tumblr media
4)  Harley Quinn in this version has loose hair around her side hairlines, which is pretty convenient, because I don't have to sew wefts on the hairline on the sides as well...and it covers your sides
Tumblr media
5)  Now you cut your bangs and the whole loos hair
Tumblr media
6)  Now it's time for Build-an-alien! Use your wire to make a kind of frame on how high you want you pigtails. It also need stability so don't just use one wire, but 2-3. Be careful when you work with wire! It can easily cut you and then you'll have blood all over the wig
Tumblr media
7)  On the inside of the wig it should look like this
Tumblr media
8)  Use your hair ties to secure the hair around the wire, which is sticking out.  Only do this step if the pigtails aren't big enough for you as they are. Take out hair ties you really don't like/need anymore, cut off some of the hair and secure some more hair around the wire with a hair tie on each side. Be very precise on how high you want your pigtails because you won't be able to change anything after the next step,
Tumblr media
9)  Now you cut off even more of the hair and use some hot glue on the ends so that the hair can't go anywhere.
Tumblr media
10)  Now use some more wire to build some kind of frame on how big you want you pigtails to be.
Tumblr media
11)  This step kinda hurts. Use your expanding foam to fill out your wire frame and be generous. Also, be careful with your wig! It's easy to get the foam out of the hair but it'll make the hair frizzy and unkempt. There's also this thing called gravity which will maybe make the foam drop in the beginning.
Tumblr media
12)  After a few hours the foam is hardenend, now cut the foam until you find your wire frame again. It doesn't have to be pretty but try to be careful! You'll have to use some sharp tool and you can easily cut yourself! Now it's time again to work with some wefts, because it's so much fun. You have to hot glue your wefts on the foam Start at the bottom and work your way up until everything is covered.
Tumblr media
13)  It's time to brush this monster and cut off some hair. It's better this way.
Tumblr media
14)  Aaaaand it's finished! I am really satisfied with how the wig turned out since it was my first time using this method. Good luck to you all!

i hate games with character customization because i always make my character too attractive and then i spend 50% of my time in the game admiring how attractive my character is

I love this photo so much. It’s so alive. Last weekend Cosples (cosplay ball) was held in Brno. And I can’t get over how fantastically awesome it was. I seriously need to let go these days. And.. yes. This helped to put my mind at ease. At least for a moment. <3 Dorian - @lesoldatmort Morrigan - myself @batbiscuit Photo Filip Blažek
