These oysters are pretty self-explanatory. Just a delicious sea creature.
Hen of the Wood, a classic downtown Burlington, VT eatery, offers $1 Oysters every night from 4-5 pm, a deal any shellfish-aficionado should be gawking at!

Sneakers Bistro- located right on the traffic circle in Winooski, Vermont is a quaint breakfast and lunch spot serving up classic options. Pictured above are two buttermilk pancakes with Chocolate Chips and Bananas, alongside hash browns and two eggs served over-easy.
This restaurant does draw quite a crowd for a fairly small space, resulting in lengthy waits on weekend mornings, but it will be worth it in the end!             Pro Tip: get there early!

Pictured here is the Duck Breast at the Gryphon Restaurant in Burlington. If you’re a duck (meat) lover, this is the dish for you.
The meat was exquisitely cooked; tender and just the right amount of pink. The accompanying lingonberry sauce is the perfect balance for the duck’s richness, and also creates a unique flavor pairing with the almond-speckled wild rice and green beans. Once again, The Gryphon impresses by putting a sophisticated spin on a classic fare.

This is the NY Strip Steak from the Gryphon Restaurant, in downtown Burlington, Vermont.
This steak contained an absolutely perfect combination of fresh flavor and simplicity. It wasn’t over the top, the chef wasn’t trying to do too much or win any Michelin Stars. Yet the details of this dish are what make it stand out. The dollop of red wine-infused herb butter elevates the steak into uncharted territories for Burlington. The garlic mashed potatoes that lie beneath it are nothing short of what dreams are made of. All in all, this meal is classic bistro fare executed perfectly.

What’s better than a Bloody Mary with brunch?
Unlimited Bloody Marys with brunch! The Fainting Goat in Washington DC offers this, as well as unlimited mimosas.... which we did NOT refuse. Highly recommend this place for brunch food also.

Pictured is the Sushi Boat for Two, from one of my favorite restaurants in the Burlington, Vermont area...Koto Japanese Steakhouse! This place is a hidden gem on an otherwise unexciting, chain-restaurant filled strip known as Shelburne Road in S. Burlington.
Koto offers both hibachi dining and traditional sushi options, which always proves to be the most difficult decision of the night.

I can never get enough raw fish, usually in the form of sashimi. Pictured is a colorful spread of maguro (tuna), sake (salmon), and chutoro (fatty tuna) sashimi. Ambience provided by Teru Sushi- located in Studio City, Los Angeles.

Pictured is the ‘Tagliatelle al Terre e Mare’...a beautiful egg pasta dish with porcini mushrooms and sea scallops, from a rustic and charming old-world Italian eatery in Burlington, VT called Trattoria Delia. Trattoria not only serves up some of the best Italian food in Vermont, but their family style feel and warmth truly provide a world class dining experience.

A healthy portion of Pho- with white vermicelli noodles and rare beef meatballs. This bowl hails from a tiny (but mighty) little place in Winooski, VT called Pho Dang. However, I call them by their rightful name, Pho ‘DANK’

My favorite dish from the Swinging Pinwheel in Burlington, VT...the Apple Dumpling French Toast! A zesty and sweet combination of flavor, with perfectly fluffy French toast. Complete with sautéed apples and an *amazing* vanilla sauce! It is to die for.

Enjoying some classic Italian fare in Boston’s North End at Ristorante Saraceno. Pictured is the Veal Parmesan (Vitello alla Parmigiana) which paired perfectly with their house Pinot Grigio.

STUFFED FRENCH TOAST w/RASPBERRY & CHOCOLATE
accompanied by a PITCHER (yes) of mimosas. talk about dreams
A righteous brunch from a delightful place called Our House in Winooski, Vermont. They offer “twisted comfort food” and I don’t think there’s a better way to explain it than that. Amazing.

ROMAINE SALAD w/AVOCADO and BLEU CHEESE
Ingredients:
-Avocado
-Bleu Cheese
-Romaine Lettuce (Or whatever you prefer)
For the Balsamic Vinaigrette:
-Balsamic Vinegar
-Olive Oil
-Dijon Mustard

In a bowl, whisk together all ingredients until blended. Make sure there is more olive oil than vinegar, I typically use a ratio of 3:1.
