Why was reigen admitting he lied the thing that stopped ???

That was only the part of it, honestly. 

The entire conflict between “Shigeo” and “Mob,” “Shigeo” insisted that nobody would come to save him, and that he’s always had to be the one to save himself. He immediately afterwards claims that Reigen was always only using them for their power, and that once he saw the true nature of “Shigeo” he would turn and run like a coward.

Reigen, however, thoroughly subverts that expectation, basically running straight into the fray with the full knowledge that he’s probably going to die. He reaches Mob, with a little help from Dimple. This act, in and of itself, was enough to throw a monkey wrench in all the high claims that “Shigeo” had made.

And then Reigen immediately does the one thing that “Shigeo” claimed he wouldn’t do–tell the truth, admit that he’d been using them, and honestly tell his feelings.

Reigen always has this uncanny knack for saying the thing that Mob needs to hear most, at the critical moment. Whether it is “be a good person” or “it’s okay to run away,” he always pulls through, and this time was no different.

This time, what Reigen had to say was: “I lied. I lied to you, and I lie to myself. It feels like I have two “selves”…one, which is the “true” me that I hate, and the one that you see. I don’t hate him, or the time that we spent together. And you, with this great power inside of you, may have that too. It’s normal. It’s okay, and I know that you can make peace with yourself.”

Both “Shigeo” and “Mob” already know this at this point, this isn’t some huge plot twist or revelation. They know, and they’ve known for a while. But they never expected Reigen to admit it, to acknowledge his two-facedness and how it robs him of peace, and then to give hope that maybe he can change for the better. That Mob, who is a better person than him, can definitely reconcile both “Mob” and “Shigeo.”

In the end, Reigen was the lifeline Mob needed to make peace with himself, which again hearkens back to the theme of collapsed bridges and the power of words put forth in the Claw Arc at the very beginning.  It’s just the bump that “Mob” needs to pull himself together, and realize that he and “Shigeo” were never two different people, and that the only way forward was together.
