With the media reaching its peak in regards of carnage imagery, it is without surprise that I read stories, which otherwise, in an isolated and more conscious environment may be the worse atrocities. Yet drugged by the dopamine these communication tools such as the computer, iPhone or TV screen continuously produce in my brain, this way or another, I can now repeat after Baudrillard that the revolution has been lost, without even having a chance to start. Protests have become spectacles and authorities blinded by the excess of power give birth to an 'obedient', 'well-mannered' and 'correct' society. The french expression 'comme-il-faut' meaning 'as it is supposed to be' is widely used internationally, wether intentionally or not. Our belief system has been dominated by this 'sublime' way of being, which through religions, spiritual practices or quite on the opposite, by a total abuse of the mundane may reveal to be unreachable. We are inundated by the idea that the world is not 'just' and as we may mourn in our cosy apartments, rebel in the streets or type our hearts out on social media, we are feeding this human made system which now destroy humanity. We may be unimportant in regards to the scale of the damages we are causing to the planet, lets not even start about space pollution. Hypnotised by the concept of procession, we are nowhere near questioning essential questions like space and time, which like any simplicity, will eventually maybe lead to a resolution. Humanity is always on the look out for the unpredictable, the unknown, with acceptance or not, with fear or confidence, knowledge is never really acquired, yet rather consumed. Where are you seating right now? On your couch? On your chair? Maybe in the bus? Or the plane maybe? How reachable has the unreachable become? And where is the ultimate point, the peak moment, the sublime? Why do we wait for something to happen while something else is already happening?
