Midori Concepts

Per request, Midori’s next!

Her name’s now Midorikawa Midori (緑川 みどり), keeping the original pun of “Green Green” and making it seem more like a common name.

She enjoys nature and is a member of the biology club (loves catching bugs and keeping them in jars, but isn’t keen on treating them forcefully).

She’s close friends with Ayano since middle school (she’s a year younger in this) and are in the same class. Midori’s pretty much Ayano’s morality pet, and one of the selected few she doesn’t act cold to.

She’s also blissfully unaware of Ayano nature (or is she?...). , she knows she likes Taro and is supportive of her crush, but she’s not aware of how many lines ayano is  willing to cross to get his attention. 

Has a passing friendship with Info-chan, since Info used to be a member of the biology club (info had an habit of hopping from club to club) before quitting and founding the newspaper club. Midori thinks Info is her friend; Info begs to disagree.

An incredibly good sprinter (P.E is her best subject), and knows a lot of obscure pop culture references that almost no one would get.

She also made the theory that Osana pigtails are sentient beings who control her.

Overall a goofy and good nature girl who brings the best out of a cold person like Ayano.

I like the headcanon that Midori and Ayano are friends, their interactions would be pretty cute. Based also a bit of her personality on Tsuruya (since dev took “inspiration” (plagiarizing) from her design).

Sure thing!.

 idk if it’s just me, but alex treatment of midori’s comes off as a very mean jab to the fanbase, since she’s supposed to represent the fans that “annoy him with junk mail” (aka actually pointing out how incredibly slow all the updates take).

im remaking mida

inspired by @is-osana-here-yet ‘s post about remaking muja! it was very well done, and i hope that i can give justice to this poor teacher

ive seen it suggested several times that instead of mida being a romantic rival, she’s instead trying to get taro to join the foreign exchange program! i think that would fit a lot more naturally instead of her lusting after a student

not a romantic rival!!!

mida is a bit older than the other teachers at Akademi, either in her late sixties or early seventies

for her appearance, cut down on the cleavage and put her in a proper teachers uniform. since i see her as old to, maybe give her saggier cheeks and wrinkles!

don’t put her off as a flirt or seductive, at least with other students! go ahead and make her flirty with the rest of the school staff, but not with a student! thats illegal and gross! ( if you want to tackle such a subject, you have to make it serious and important, not put it off as just ‘forbidden love’! )

she teaches math! shes has her degree in both math and science, but prefers to teach math over science!

is looking for a TA ( teachers assistant ) at the start of her week

taught both ayano’s mother and megami’s father when they were teenagers. she has been teaching here for a long time now, and is upset about how much the schools reputation has gone down in the years. but thats not stopping her from doing her job!

taro gains her attention because his grades start to drop. hes a very smart student, and has lots of faith in him, so she tries to help him out and figure why this is happening during lunch the first monday, and then tries to help pick up his grade through the week

also, shes very pushy about the student exchange program. shes hoping that this might be the thing to pick up the schools reputation if everybody sees how great and smart the students they send out are! if ayano doesn’t interfere during the week, mida will have convinced taro to join by friday and he’s convinced himself that maybe it’s the best way to go

despite being a kind, almost grandmotherly figure in the eyes of her class, she is very pushy and will go through some extremes to get what she wants through. but nothing super terrible

YS Rival Renamings | Late Night Ramble Post

Its after midnight and I just got lost in my thoughts. 

So I made this post.

Here are some real name suggestions for the horribly named Yandere Sim rivals as for right now, they’re puns for days but are too much for a name.

Decided to find names that would suit them (Which are based in my own personal opinion.)

I just hope I got the correct kanji as i am not Japanese nor fully fluent.

Osana Najimi ➡ Kimiko Noa | ( 君子 ➡ 君: lord; noble + 子: Child) + ( 乃 愛 ➡ 乃: Possessive Article +  愛: love; affection )

Amai Odayaka ➡ Aina Tsubaki | ( 愛菜 ➡ 愛: love; affection +  菜: vegetables; greens) +  ( 椿:  camellia flower )

Kizana Sunobu ➡ Kotone Sestuko | ( 琴音 ➡ 琴: A traditional Japanese stringed musical instrument + 音: sound) +  (節 子 ➡  節: section, period, verse, melody + 子: Child)

Oka Ruto ➡ Tsukiko Shizuka | ( 月子 ➡ 月: Moon + 子: Child ) + ( 静香: Quiet ) 

Asu Rito  ➡ Aki Yoshi | ( 明: bright) + ( 良: good, virtuous, respectable)

Muja Kina  ➡   Mayu Sato | ( 真優 ➡ 真: real; genuine + 優: gentleness, lithe, superior ) +  ( 佐藤 ➡ 佐: help; aid + 藤  wisteria)

Mida Rana  ➡ Riko Asuka | ( 莉 奈 ➡ 莉: white jasmine + 奈 : A phonetic character) + ( 明日香 ➡ 明日: tomorrow +  香: fragrance)

Osoro Shidesu  ➡ Oshiro Kyou | (大城  ➡  大: big; great +  城: castle) + ( 協: unite; cooperate )

Hanako Yamada  ➡ Hinata Makoto | ( 日向: sunny place) + ( 誠:  sincerity )

Osana headcanons

she’s a tsunshun, not a tsundere

she’s actually really into fashion. she loves to read magazines, and watch makeup and hair tutorials online

really likes books, thats how her and taro became friends actually

her hair is naturally brown, but she dyed it orange after becoming enamoured with a book that had a protagonist with orange hair. maybe anne of green gables or something idk

the bow in her hair was a gift from taro before they entered high school. taro said it was a promise that they wouldn’t grow apart as they grew up. this was also the moment she realized she loved him.

she was teased when she was younger for liking “girly” things and being a softie, so she began to hide them under her rough exterior. 

she now realizes that liking “girly” things is nothing to be ashamed of, but old habits die hard, so she says harsh things and then regrets it.

her favourite colour is peach

she’s a big fan of shoujo manga

also enjoys playing otome games

she’s just a huge romantic softie that doesn’t know how to handle her feelings

she loves taro for his kindness. he never teased her about being a softie or being a bit of a bookworm. he’s patient with her harsh outbursts too. 

she used to be a lot softer with taro, but grew colder when she realized she loved him and didn’t want him to know about her feelings.

Here’s another redesign. This time it’s Megami!

For Megami, I wanted her design to be more sophisticated, dressed professionally and to show that she’s a mature, serious school council president.

The one thing I have changed from her is her face shape. He face needs to so-what reflect her personality, so now her face is abit long and her cheekbones are more defined. Showing more maturity and sophistication.

Her hair is now black but she has a streak of silver on her bangs, she has Poliosis in which a part of her hair is lacking melanin.

As for her name, I changed it to Megumi Enoki, Megumi is written in hiragana in this case because her name can be interpreted in many different meanings (you can call this a pun name of sorts) depending on the kanji used to pronounce the name, it can mean:

- 恵:  “ blessing, grace" - 恵美: “blessing, favour; beauty” - 愛 (alternatively read as “Ai” but it also reads as Megumi):  “love, affection’ - 斡美: “administer, go around, rule; beauty”

Enoki might be a name of a mushroom, however, this surname also belongs to a Japanese politician, pharmacist and feminist, Misako Enoki, who was a symbol for woman’s rights in Japan during her time.

Another thing to note that, I might give her a few flaws in her personality, sure she might be strong, confident and an heiress to a big company, however, I feel like it’s better to flesh her out since she is a big character and ‘mary-sue’ won’t cut it. I feel like despite Megami being so serious, sophisticated and strong, I feel like that makes her a bit cold and distant to the other students in her school, she only talks during work related matters and she doesn’t have much time to socialise because of all the work she spends her time mostly doing. She is rather business savvy too, and there’s a possibility that she might not believe in romance as she only cares about the safety of the school and work, however that doesn’t say she would not change. Hopefully, in the future, I can try to weave in connecting stories with all the other characters. but for now, this is all I got.

And another redesign, it’s Osana Najimi this time~!

The changes in her design is extremely drastic, her hairstyle is shortened and now brunette to tone down the gaudy saturation of the original orange, she is no longer wearing scrunchies because a number of head accessories is too much and a bit distracting, a smaller accessory are added like the hair clip and the polka-dot patterns Osana’s stocking and scrunchies has, is incorporated in the headband.

Her facial structure has been sharpened a bit, her face so what has cat-like features like catty eyes, a small nose and pointed ears. She also has sharp eyebrows, this is meant to emphasise her sharp-tongued, hotheaded and hostile but caring personality (kinda like a cat).

Her cat keychain is used on her bag and her socks are just plain. 

Her name is now Tomomi Tachibana, Tomomi meaning ‘beautiful friend’ and Tachibana meaning ‘orange’ based her original colour scheme.

Her personality is not really tsundere here, she’s a hot-headed, cold individual who tries to be cool with others, she wants to be seen as threatening and mean, but she’s really insecure inside, maybe she’s very shy, she can’t stand up for herself, she is often made fun on, and she wants to prove to others that she is strong and confident, this causes her to be mildly hostile to others, and sometimes pushing people away from her, but she really cares about her close friend (Taro Yamada).

Alrighty, here’s another redesign, this time it’s Amai Odayaka.

A few things I have changed in Amai’s design, firstly is her change in body shape, she is more chubby now as I rather all the rivals have different body shapes instead of one. Her hair colour and style has also changed, her hair is now darker and more puffier, giving her a softer look.

Her name is changed to Yuzuki Kurihara, Yuzuki means ‘citrus hope’ and Kurihara means “chestnut field’, Kurihara also belongs to a famous homemaker and celebrity TV personality Harumi Kurihara , who is considered the ‘Martha Stewart of Japan’ as she has sold numerous cookbooks and hosted numerous TV shows.

Amai doesn’t wear stripe stockings here, instead the stripe patterns is Incorporated into her furoshiki (the cloth that she uses to wrap her bento box in).

And for her character, I imagined her coming from the countryside and her ambitions is to open a restaurant one day, cooking her home-made meals for everyone. She is sweet and kind, however she can be strict with schedules (hospitality is a rather big and stressful business, reliant on time and patience, especially during rush hours). She love to try new recipes whenever she gets the chance, sometimes looking up big cooking Youtubers too, she also has a small vegetable garden in her backyard where she grows fresh produce for her cooking.

Kizana Concepts

Per Anon request, i’m now tackling Kizana. Sorry if it’s confusing, wrote this at literally 3 AM x_x.

Kizana comes from a single parent household. Her mother is a retired actress who is really doting and only wants the best for her. She doesn’t know her father, but her mother told her that he was the director of a movie she was working on at the time.

Kizana loves her mother, and the pressure of meeting her expectations is her driving force and main flaw. She’s determined to don’t end like her, and to become a sucessful person. She’s conceited and perfectionistic, but actually means well and is more mellowed to her club members and juniors.

Despite her looks, she’s actually unpopular at school and her few friends are fellow drama club members. Has a lot to do with her personality. 

Also a complete romantic and believes in things like love at first sight. 

She doesn’t exactly has a crush on Taro, but is interested in him since he shows skills in acting, and she believes him to be a good adition to the club, who is critically lacking members. To put it, a mild attraction.

The times she crosses path with Ayano, she’s cordial with her, but has a gut feeling that something is not quite right with her...she just can’t put her finger on what.

Mida Concepts

Tried my best at fixing her. I’m not really confident it it, thought but hey, at least no more ephebophile tendencies :).

 An incredibly laid-back type of teacher. While she may act as a friend to her students, she draws the line between professionalism and friendship. Likes to tease them, too and i can see her teasing Ayano about her crush on Taro.

She dresses more professionally, like, no school ever would allow a teacher to go lightly dressed like that (unless it’s anime), also, newflash: a woman doesn’t need to have her cleavage sticking out of her shirt and an incredibly small skirt to be considered sexy. Maybe one or two buttons unbuttoned to show her laid-back nature.

She comes from a traditional japanese family, and against their wishes she choose to pursue a path in education. She also practiced martial arts (hence her self-defense skills

Mida gets a job as a substitute in Akademi after the previous teacher ressigns due to the unsafe atmoshpere in the school after the murders of several students. 

Noticing that Senpai grades are dropping (likely from stress and panic), Mida offers to give him tutoring lessons in hopes of helping him. Her relationship with Taro is that of an older sister/ little brother. Ayano however, gets the wrong impression, and believes that she’s after senpai like everyone else.

i would have liked to elaborate more, but i’m too lazy right now to think of anything...
