The Lead Navigator’s steps had came to a halt when his named had been called out, followed by a curious glance that shifted around the room until they had focused on the source. He immediately changed the direction of his route----- approaching Abel to look over his shoulder, quickly but efficiently going over the content displayed on the screen. “----ah, good work Abel!” Keeler flashed a smile, returning his gaze to the other Navigator. “---you got so much work done already!-----how about taking a small break after submitting everything to Ethos? I’m sure he can handle the rest, he’s been very excited to get his hands on those files...meanwhile you...you look quite tired.”

Abel had spent most of the time typing at his computer, trying to configure the data and files from what they had recently discovered. It wasn’t too difficult, but he definitely wanted Ethos to check some things with him since he was better at the linguistics than he was. Though while he was at it..

“Keeler? Would you mind looking this over for me because I pass it to Ethos?”

“—–but it’s rather late, don’t you think? surely you can finish tomorrow…” or more like today…at a later time when everybody wasn’t asleep. With another glance though, Keeler figured that trying to get a point across might have a futile attempt. The other’s determination to finish whatever he was doing was evident on his face. The Lead Navigator in short just smiled faintly, “—–or at least, just be a little quieter? Noise tend to resound more loudly than usual when the majority of a space is silent.” What was the point of sending others to sleep when you couldn’t quite sleep yourself?

“ i can’t sleep. “

“ it’s nothing, go back to bed. “

“ when’s the last time you slept? “

“ you’re clearly exhausted. why are you doing this to yourself? “ 

“ wake up. wake up. wake uuuuup. “

“ i’ll sleep when i’m dead. “

“ yawning doesn’t mean i’m tired! maybe i’m just bored by you telling me to go to sleep so much. “

“ is something wrong? “

“ i just need to finish what i’m doing, then i’ll sleep. “

“ you said you were about to go to bed two hours ago. c’mon, time’s up. “

“ is it okay if i sleep in your bed tonight? i’m kinda freaked out. “

There was always a feeling that daunted him many times in the past, knowing sooner or later that this situation in particular---was something that was bound to happen. There was always rumours and myths of different universes, and to see it happen with his own eyes ( with himself nonetheless)...he was not quite sure how to feel. Deep down, he did not want to meet alternate versions of himself. As a matter of fact, to think that somebody was currently walking among them, as him, made the corners of his lips want to twitch with disdain. However, being raised to not show such ugly attitude in moments such as these was what made him respond with a smile instead---though, it was quite obvious that it did not quite reach his eyes. 

The Lead Navigator tilts his head slightly, glancing carefully at the alternate version of himself. There was something off about him, but unfortunately it was a little hard to pinpoint what it was exactly. It seemed very plausible that they were both brought up differently. Even though they appeared to be physically identical, their personalities just might not match. Keeler decided that it probably was best to just observe himself a little longer before trying to make decisions."but why of course!" He broke out an even wider smile, "it's just like looking in the mirror! My, my how interesting. But we’re going to have to figure out what to do now.” 

               “I knew I’d find you —me—- here.” Steps resound between steeled walls as the glint of violet finds a shadow slinking behind drawn velvet curtains; a silhouette akin to his own — is his own, against the walls, running a hand on the ship that was his ( or theirs ) together. “I figured the Sleipnir sailed into an infinite time paradox,” where two worlds lapse and so does two alternative versions of similar kind; a strange, eccentric feeling plucked at the pit of his stomach, cold fingers gripped his spine, but that was only Keeler’s dark side speaking — the man before him was a figure dozen times more stunning than he could ever be, bright, cheerful, and full of JOY. “You’re… me, right?” || @xstrongerwill

                  Head turned to look for the source of that voice, spotting the navigators’ leader of the Sleipnir, Keeler, addressing the fighter by his task name. His brows furrowed down at the mention of Encke. “No, sir. I haven’t seen lieutenant Encke since the day before.”

Keeler frowns slightly in response, peering through the Fighter’s shoulder as if expecting his partner to just pop up from behind. But of course, that never came to pass. “---hm, how strange.” He mused mostly to himself than to Cain, before shrugging his shoulders. “---I guess it can’t be helped then...unless, you help me look for him? He has to be around, I can’t imagine him going too far.”
