     “Well,” the child began, looking back down to the ground. What an odd stranger this was, indeed! Not even introducing himself– who didn’t at least tell the other their name? “Some people where Erik-papa works say I’m a demon. I dunno what that word means, though. I’m just a snake! I didn’t think snakes were demons.”

 At that, he shuffled a bit closer, trying to perhaps gain some comfort in the crowd by getting nearer to a friendly being. Though, should he show any signs of hostility, there was always his backup. More and more, he’d been practicing using his power. At the first sign of danger, he could simply turn himself intangible, should the other not discover a way to cancel his ability.

 Pushing those thoughts aside, the older leaned in closer. This “passer-by” had to be a kind being, surely, else they wouldn’t have begun a conversation. “You didn’t tell me what your name is, mister.”

              “Humans are weird. They think one thing, refuse to believe another. Strange indeed.”

Humans... Why God decided to create them, he didn’t know. Perhaps it was boredom that brought forth such beings. Perhaps a test of his own power. Most likely the second, but he didn’t pay much attention to any of that lore stuff back in the day. After all, who would when causing chaos seemed so much more fun? As for sign of danger, this child was nothing compared to what the world has held for him before. No threat is needed, at the moment.

             “Why do you care for my name so badly anyway, kid? ---What if I hold no name?”

This kid will never know his name, as long as he can help it. The less people know of him the better. Easier to move around from place to place then on this damned planet.

     “Oh, uh, Erik-papa’s at work. He’s a demon hunter! But he says it’s dangerous for me so I just like to walk around.” The boy stopped, rocking back on his heels as he looked to the tall stranger with a smile. He wasn’t quite as tall as the serpent’s adoptive father, but held just as important an air about him (admittedly, however, with a less comforting feel to it). A blink was merely given to the younger at that.

 “Everybody’s important, though! I’m Benjamin! What’s your name?”

             “Demons are dangerous, you are right. But they are also fun, in my opinion.”

Of course they would be fun to you, Hunter. You hung around them so much, you got thrown out of your own home because of it. Well, then again, you never did truly care for Heaven itself. So perhaps the only harm in it all was the fall. Glancing down at the smaller one, a smirk couldn't help but grow in amusement at his words. Important? Please. What an innocent mind this one has.

              “Well Benjamin, sorry to break it to ya but I’m not one of those people. Consider me a passer-by.”

    “Huh–?” The ‘shorty’ in question will simply look up towards the other, confusion evident in his expression. Who could this be? A human, maybe? How strange, hardly anyone at this hour approached the snake, and those who did never asked a question such as that. “Uh… I don’t have a mom, whatever that is. I have a papa, but he’s at home. Who are you?”

               “Alright then, just where is your dad?”

This kid was a weird one. It made the male question why he even approached the other. Perhaps it was just curiosity at first, but now in truth, the curiosity was starting to grow tiring. Looking over the at the smaller one through the corner of his eyes, he crossed his arms at the question directed towards him.

                “---I’m no one important.”

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of activity as of late. I was first over in Colorado with sasxyaki and as of last night we have begun our 4 day road trip to San Deigo, California. At the moment, we are in New Mexico (at a dairy queen because we needed something to fill our tummys).
