The left is trying to erase oppression but the people they’re ‘helping’ aren’t really being oppressed that much: People of color, women, gays, etc. They still have more privilage than a group that no one acknowledges the fact that they are actually being oppressed by the commercial industries:

Rant: my opinion on yaoi in fandoms

Ok so a lot of people are probably gonna get mad at me for this, but I still want to get this to be said.

I don’t mean to sound homophobic, because I strongly support the lgbtq+ community, but I gotta get this off my chest.

I don’t like yaoi. I know it’s an uncommon opinion and I know that people like it and I respect that, but it gets a bit out of hand because every fandom I have come across in my lifetime (more than 15) has at least one yaoi-ship. This has kind of ruined some fandoms for me.

In a lot of the yaoi-ships are characters that aren’t even given a canon sexuality. It’s not really a bad thing if people think that those characters are gay, but when they have been confirmed to be straight and still get shipped with another guy, that is forcing homosexuality on someone who isn’t gay. The exact same concept of treatment gay people get from homophobes. And I know what some of you may be thinking. “But they’re not real so it doesn’t matter” but that’s all wrong. Take SeptiPlier for example. Both Jack and Mark are straight and have girlfriends, but SeptiPlier is still religiously shipped.

I don’t know if people will see this but if they do, keep it down with the disagreeing comments
