Bathybomb and Sudmarine for the Kohop Region

Earlier this year I joined @xeeble's Kohop Region project. Its original intent was to bring together fakemon artists to each make one or more monster designs based on an already existing set of prompts laid out by xeeble themselves, themed around the deep ocean. There was a vague idea that it would all get finished by the end of the year and would be published as a digital zine. Obviously this has not yet come to pass due to unfulfilled prompts, people leaving the project, and social media turning evil, amongst other reasons.

I've decided to post my designs here now because this is essentially my portfolio and I was planning to put them here anyway. I have no idea if/when the project will be made public but there are several great designs in there which you can look forward to seeing.

Bathybomb and Sudmarine were designed around the prompt of 'bathyspheres and submarines'. My early concept art had more to do with cats and fishbowls but a lot of people seemed to be drawing cats so I settled on the idea of bath bomb sauropod larvacean pokeball mimics instead. Naturally.

Pokecember Day 10 - Poison Type!

You may be wondering: "What the hell is this?"

This is part of the gimmick I plan on using for my fan region! A series of Ultra Beasts inspired by glitches found throughout the Pokemon series. This particular one references the Bad Egg glitch.

Did you know that the form Bad Egg takes can vary depending on various factors, such as the game it appears in? This has elements of its Bulbasaur, Manaphy Egg, and UFO forms. I haven't chosen what version is the shiny yet. Maybe that changes depending on where you find it.

Sorry for the mature label. I don't feel comfortable suddenly subjecting people to intense eyestrain like this, but there's no way to hide it properly other than a very limiting 'mature' content warning.

Pokecember Day 6 - Grass Type!

Hippod is the grass starter to my region. It's inspired by Canadian television PSAs that featured a creature known as the "North American House Hippo". Unfortunately the ad did NOT work and it made everyone want a house hippo instead.
