Hey everyone, I know it's going to be a busy day for a lot of people, but Google enrolled everyone over 18 into their AI program automatically.
If you have a google account, first go to gemini.google.com/extensions and turn everything off.
Then you need to go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini and turn off all Gemini activity tracking. You do have to do them in that order to make sure it works.
Honestly, I'm not sure how long this will last, but this should keep Gemini off your projects for a bit.
I saw this over on bluesky and figured it would be good to spread on here. It only takes a few minutes to do.

If I ever do a full Six Hundred Strike Poseidon POV I might make the torture scene more descriptive/gory. As a treat.

Haven’t updated on this in a while👀
But I’m chipping away at it. I’ve been skipping around, depending on where I’ve been getting ideas for, but it’s getting worked on nevertheless.

If I’m being for real, if I could write musicals, I’d write one about Tiresias. That man had multiple lifetimes worth of stories (literally and metaphorically) and I really only see him mentioned in the context of Oedipus and the Odyssey.
There HAS to be a full musical worth of content surrounding him. There’s both his sex changes, the argument with Zeus and Hera that caused his blinding and the reason he’s a prophet, Oedipus(like I’ve mentioned) and his sibling-children, the seven against Thebes, and you can even sneak in the Odyssey and the founding of Thebes because a) context, b) Persephone herself requested that he keep his prophetic abilities, c) who else does Greek myth follow AFTER THEY DIED, d) the inclusion of the underworld means Hades and Persephone which means more gods and e) Epic’s brought the Odyssey into the mainstream and who wouldn’t want to profit off Odyssey hype by tacking it on at the very end because Greek mythology is all interwoven and stuff.
Here’s who I have in mind character wise:
Tiresias(obviously): there’s an option to have both a man and a woman cast because of the gender changes. The urge to give the contraltos/countertenors a role is also very strong here.
Chariclo: Tiresias’ mom. Also a nymph of Athena who was super close with her.
Everes: Tiresias’ dad. A shepherd and also possibly a descendant of the Spartoi.
Athena, since she’s super close with his mom. And she’d probably be a good way to introduce a gimmick I have in mind if I ever do write this. Also gotta bring in the Epic fans somehow.
Ares, can be sneaked in somehow. I’m sure of it.
I feel like Aphrodite can be sneaked in somehow too. Since Tiresias is actually pretty successful as a woman, perhaps she can be sneaked in there.
Hera, on the topic of Tiresias being pretty successful as a woman, during that time she was a priestess of Hera. And in one version, Tiresias gets blinded by Hera because he said women had the better orgasm. Plus we get antagonist Hera without the possibility of her being a jealous hateful meanie. And a sympathetic antagonist as well since in my hypothetical musical I would have her come in later and apologize.
Zeus, because in said Hera version of the myth, she was arguing with Zeus, who gave him both his prophetic powers and his extended lifespan. I don’t want this to happen immediately after because (plot twist!) my version has it be Hera’s idea because she feels bad she blinded him.
Apollo can be snuck in there because prophecy and stuff.
Oedipus, since that’s like the one story everyone remembers him for.
Hermes is probably the weakest god to sneak in because he doesn’t have a reason to be here, really. The only potential I see is potentially during the mountain scenes cause that mountain specifically was the mountain he was born on(allegedly) along with his roll as a psychopomp if I want to connect this to the Odyssey.
And Odysseus, again if I include the odyssey
And theming wise, I was thinking of something in the ball park of self-worth, body image, and change. The whole trans lens has been done before and I don’t really have much to add as a cis person.

Sorry if I die for a little bit, there’s a power outage where I’m at and’s it’s going to end in like 12 hours. My phone’s at 27% so I’m not going to be able to hotspot myself. So yeah, I’m not dead, my powers just out.

Ithaca Saga Spoilers below the cut
I was thinking about Would You Fall In Love again, specifically about Penelope’s request for Ody to move the bed. I’ve seen people say it was a test to see if it was him, but thinking about it I don’t think that’s the case. I think she already knows it’s Ody. Penelope has zero reasons to think that the man in front of her isn’t her husband. He strung the bow, killed all the suitors with said bow, and Telemachus said it was him. Personally, I think it was more so a test of if Odysseus was still the same man, if it was a purposeful test at that.
The entire song up to that point was Ody telling Penelope that he’s no longer the man she met all those years ago, he’s no longer the man she fell in love with and married, he’s no longer the man that fathered Telemachus. He’s a different beast now, he’s the monster, he’s a man who literally TORTURED a god to get home. And he’s asking Penelope if she’d fall in love with this new version of him.
And in response, if he doesn’t think he’s worthy of her love, then their love was as dead as a tree without its roots. His response to that is what proves that, deep down, Odysseus is still the same man from 20 years ago.

Discussion of SA/Rape and Ithaca Saga spoilers underneath the cut. Beware
In Hold Them Down, when Antonius is taking about raping Penelope, I can’t help but notice that there’s some vibrato(that bit of shaking in the note). And that kind of made me think of something gross. What I’d Antonius is getting off to the thought of assaulting her? Like that vibrato a diegetic shaking of his voice as he’s fantasizing about what he’d do to Penelope.
Anywho, Merry Christmas and happy Ithaca Saga release day.

The Ithaca Saga's good and I want to listen to it again, but at the same time, if I listen to the last song again I'm probably going to cry. And I don't want to cry. Not on Christmas

Prosecutors argued that Mangione was carrying about $10,000 in cash and that his bag was a Faraday bag that blocks cellphone signals—all proof that he was a sophisticated criminal who should be held without bail. “‘I’d like to correct two things,’” Mangione said after the prosecutor finished speaking, according to CNN’s Danny Freeman, “‘I don’t know where any of that money came from—I’m not sure if it was planted. And also, that bag was waterproof, so I don’t know about criminal sophistication.’”
